Brad Pitt’s Oscar-Winning Sports Drama is on Top of Apple TV+’s Top 10 Most-Watched Series of the Week List Again

Apple TV+ is constantly adding new movies, with everything from exciting action films and sweet animated stories to big-budget releases featuring famous actors. This week, viewers are enjoying a wide variety of content, including new thrillers and projects still being made. As Apple invests in high-quality filmmaking and attracts major stars, more and more people are tuning in to both popular favorites and upcoming attractions. Here’s a look at the most talked-about movies on the streaming service right now.

‘The Instigators’ (2024)

I just saw this movie about two guys, Rory and Cobby, who attempt a heist and, well, it doesn’t exactly go as planned! Suddenly, they’re running from the cops, dealing with some seriously frustrating officials, and trying to escape a really angry crime boss. It’s a fantastic mix of funny moments and genuine suspense, all set in Boston, and stars Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Actually, Casey Affleck co-wrote the script with Chuck MacLean, which I think really gives it a raw, authentic feel to the story.

‘Ghosted’ (2023)

Cole instantly falls for Sadie, but soon learns she’s a secret agent. Just as they’re considering a second date, he’s pulled into a thrilling, worldwide mission to save the world. Starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, the film is a fun mix of romance, comedy, and intense action, filmed in exciting locations around the globe. Directed by Dexter Fletcher, it debuted as a major release on a streaming service in 2023.

‘The Family Plan 2’ (2025)

The follow-up to the hit action-comedy starring Mark Wahlberg is in the works. The first movie, about a former elite assassin trying to live a normal suburban life, quickly became a popular choice for viewers when it was released in late 2023. Because of its success, Apple has approved a second film, again directed by Simon Cellan Jones, which will follow the Morgan family on another dangerous adventure. The sequel hopes to deliver the same mix of family life and thrilling action that made the first film so enjoyable.

‘Highest 2 Lowest’ (2025)

In this remake of Akira Kurosawa’s ‘High and Low’, Denzel Washington plays a successful music executive whose world falls apart when his son is targeted in a kidnapping attempt gone wrong. Directed by Spike Lee, the film follows the executive as he faces a difficult moral choice when a large ransom is demanded, potentially ruining everything he’s worked for. Set in New York City, this tense thriller also stars Jeffrey Wright and A$AP Rocky, and explores themes of wealth, power, and how far someone will go for their family.

‘The Lost Bus’ (2025)

I’m really looking forward to this new movie! It’s a drama directed by Paul Greengrass, and it’s based on the incredibly sad but inspiring true story of the 2018 Camp Fire in California. Matthew McConaughey plays Kevin McKay, a bus driver who bravely guides a group of students to safety as the fire rages around them. America Ferrera is also in it, playing a teacher named Mary Ludwig who helps with the rescue. It’s based on a book called ‘Paradise’ which details what happened in that town, and from what I’ve heard, the movie really focuses on how everyday people showed incredible courage during this terrible wildfire – one of the worst in American history.

‘Fountain of Youth’ (2025)

This action-packed film, directed by Guy Ritchie, centers on two long-separated siblings who team up to hunt for a famous, lost treasure. Their quest takes them around the world, using historical knowledge to decipher clues and find the legendary Fountain of Youth. Starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman, the movie was filmed in stunning locations like Vienna and Egypt to bring the epic adventure to life. The script was written by James Vanderbilt, a seasoned writer of thrilling action stories.

‘The Gorge’ (2025)

The upcoming film, directed by Scott Derrickson, stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller as exceptionally talented people navigating a dangerous world. It’s a character-focused action romance, and while the specific plot is being kept secret, the story centers on the connection these two characters forge amidst the chaos. Sigourney Weaver is also part of the cast. As one of Apple‘s biggest upcoming original films, it’s currently being finalized in post-production.

‘Luck’ (2022)

“Luck” is an animated movie about Sam Greenfield, who seems to have the worst luck imaginable. When she unexpectedly finds herself in the Land of Luck, she has to work with a quirky team of magical creatures – including a grumpy cat named Bob – to try and turn things around. The film looks at how luck, both good and bad, impacts our lives. It’s Skydance Animation’s first feature-length animated film made for Apple TV+, and features the voices of Jane Fonda and Whoopi Goldberg as key characters in the magical world.

‘Eternity’ (2025)

Elizabeth Olsen plays Joan in a clever and funny romantic comedy that takes place in a unique afterlife – a bureaucratic system where new arrivals have just one week to choose how they’ll spend eternity and with whom. Joan faces a difficult decision: stay with her husband (Miles Teller) or reunite with her first love (Callum Turner). Directed by David Freyne, the film uses this imaginative setting to thoughtfully examine themes of memory, love, and what it means to connect with others. It’s a touching story that mixes lighthearted humor with real emotional moments as the characters figure out their lives – forever.

‘F1’ (2025)

In the upcoming film, Brad Pitt plays a seasoned race car driver who comes out of retirement to guide a rising star at the APXGP team. The movie was shot during real Formula 1 races, with unique cameras used to capture the excitement and speed of the sport. Director Joseph Kosinski focused on making the racing feel authentic and thrilling. The film is a major project done in partnership with Formula 1, and even includes seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton as a producer. It will first hit theaters worldwide in 2025, and will later be available to stream on Apple TV+.
