We Have Found the Ideal Villain for the Final Thor Film!

As a lifelong Marvel fanatic with over two decades of comics under my belt, I must admit that the prospect of a fifth Thor solo film is music to my ears! While some may argue that his standalone movies have been hit or miss, there’s no denying the thunderous impact this god among men has had on the MCU.

Although Thor Odinson’s standalone films were typically not highly praised (with Ragnarok being an exception), he remains one of the most beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe characters. With a dedicated fanbase, the character continues to garner affection, even though his current role within the MCU is uncertain, which adds to its intrigue.

Despite being one of the mightiest characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a crucial figure in its lore, it’s no surprise that fans are eager for more Thor. It appears that his story will continue with a fifth solo film, making him the record holder in the MCU.

Although details regarding the storyline and main antagonist of the fifth Hercules film remain uncertain, as hints from the teaser trailers don’t seem to provide clear answers, we’ve managed to pinpoint an ideal adversary for a hypothetical Thor movie instead.

The tales surrounding Thor abound with intriguing characters, both heroes and adversaries, some of whom are simply captivating. Indeed, certain figures such as Hela and Gorr have already made an appearance, and while a few have been skillfully portrayed, others unfortunately haven’t lived up to their potential – something that is regrettable, it must be said (and yes, Gorr, this discussion includes you!), but there’s no going back on that now.

Indeed, there are numerous intriguing villains that could make an appearance in the upcoming fifth Thor film, but we believe we’ve found one that might just fit the bill perfectly. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room – Hercules – a character hinted as a potential adversary for Thor in future films. While it’s not impossible that we may see Hercules again, considering the impact of his cameo, our suspicion is that he won’t have a significant role, even if he does reappear.

Instead, let me share an idea for Thor’s upcoming adversary: a captivating twist – it’s none other than Thor himself, or rather, a mechanized cyborg replica of the God of Thunder known as Ragnarok (commonly referred to as Cyber Thor). This character emerged in the comics as a temporary replacement for Thor during his absence. He was crafted by Iron Man and other prominent heroes using Thor’s DNA and technology. The storylines in the comic books revolve around this artificial being, who has faced defeat and destruction multiple times only to be resurrected again.

Given the current state of Thor’s narrative, introducing Ragnarok as an expansion could enrich his story and provide a formidable challenge that fits well with the character, given his adherence to established lore. Unlike Gorr, who underwent some modifications for the film, Thor remains largely faithful to his original stories.
