As a long-time follower of Drake’s journey, I must say that witnessing his growth as a father has been nothing short of heartwarming. The SpongeBob SquarePants-themed party for Adonis’ 7th birthday was an absolute delight to see, showcasing the bond between father and son. It’s evident that Drake cherishes every moment with his little boy, and their shared love for basketball and music is truly special.
Drake, often called Aubrey Drake Graham, isn’t giving up his title as “Father of the Year,” which he mentioned in the song Champagne Poetry. Lately, to mark his son Adonis’ 7th birthday on October 11, the rapper threw an extravagant SpongeBob SquarePants-themed party.
On that memorable occasion, there was plenty of fun to be had, and later on, Drake posted some touching instances from the festivities on Instagram. The images beautifully depicted the strong affection between father and son. Drake, accompanied by his son and the birthday boy, Adonis, shared these heart-melting photos on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the special moments they shared.
In the first photo, Drake and his son Adonis posed solemnly for the camera. Drake placed his hand on Adonis’ shoulder in a supportive gesture. The picture was taken against a Bikini Bottom scene, filled with jellyfish, rocks, bubbles, and the characteristic flower-shaped clouds from the cartoon. There was also a sports field in the background, with text resembling SpongeBob’s style that read “Adonis’ 7th Birthday.
Simultaneously, another beloved photo among Rich Baby Daddy’s fans showed him wrapping his arms around Adonis warmly from behind, both displaying broad grins.
The post, captioned “Big Don,” showcased the special bond Drake shares with his son.
For those unfamiliar, Drake became a father to Adonis in 2017, along with French artist Sophie Brussaux. Following the confirmation of his paternity in 2018, Drake and Sophie have been working together on co-parenting duties, fostering a strong bond between them.
When the child goes to meet the Family Matters rapper in both Los Angeles and Toronto, it’s often noticeable that they frequently attend NBA games together as a pair (father and son).
Gradually emulating his father, Adonis is now making strides in the same field. Lately, he has appeared in several music videos by Drake and, moreover, created the cover artwork for the ‘For All The Dogs’ album, a project of his rapper dad.
2023 saw Adonis stepping into the music scene for the first time with a rap number titled “My Man”, which he showcased during his 6th birthday celebration event.
