Outer Banks’ Jonathan Daviss Opens Up About Finally Sharing a One-On-One Scene with Madelyn Cline After Nearly 5 Years on Show

As a dedicated follower of Outer Banks, I must say that watching Jonathan Daviss and Madelyn Cline’s friendship blossom on and off-screen has been a delightful journey. Their camaraderie is palpable, and it’s heartening to see their bond grow stronger with each passing season.

After the airing of Outer Banks Season 4 on Netflix, Jonathan Daviss has reminisced about his experiences working with Madelyn Cline on set. The actor, known for portraying Pope, will once again embody his character, joining forces with the rest of the crew, which includes Chase Stokes, Rudy Pankow, and Madison Bailey.

During an interview with People magazine, Davis mentioned that his friendship with actress Cline blossomed over their three-season collaboration. Interestingly, they hadn’t shared any solo scenes together previously. He expressed delight at last getting a chance to act alongside Madelyn in one of the episodes from this current season.

In a chat with the media, Davis shared that they frequently spend time together away from the camera, but it was equally enjoyable for him to collaborate with her in front of it too.

Daviss explained that he had a great time. He shared that Madelyn and he are very close, spending a lot of time together, and they hadn’t done any duo scenes together yet. He went on to say, “I believe we came up with an interesting way to put us in that scenario.

In the final episode of Season 4’s first part, Pope and Sarah Cameron, portrayed by Cline, found themselves buried under a church while searching for a hint to Blackbeard’s hidden treasure. This specific moment was unique as it was the first time these two actors appeared together in a scene without any other characters visible on screen.

During his chat with the entertainment platform, Daviss remarked, “Working alongside Maddie in that scene was an absolute blast. It was enjoyable to display our strong friendship chemistry on screen, and our ability to feed off each other during the performance made it even more fun, as we’ve collaborated for quite some time.

In addition, he disclosed that in the last episode, it required them both to navigate through foul-smelling sewer tunnels with the actress, accompanied by grime and rodents. Daviss pointed out during their conversation on set that this was actually their initial opportunity to film individual scenes together.

Here’s what you can say instead: Last week, the initial episodes from Season 4 were made available on our streaming service. The rest of the season will follow on November 7.
