‘WandaVision’ Actor Addresses Recasting in ‘Agatha All Along’

As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast who has been following the MCU since its inception, I must say that the reveal of Joe Locke as Wiccan (Billy Kaplan) in Agatha All Along was nothing short of spectacular! It’s always fascinating to see how these intricate storylines unfold, and this one had me guessing from the very beginning.

One intriguing enigma in the series ‘Agatha All Along‘ centered around the true nature of Joe Locke’s character, “The Teen.” In the most recent episode, after the emotional scene following Alice Wu’s demise, his secret was unveiled: he is Wiccan, also recognized as Billy Kaplan and a reincarnation of Billy Maximoff.

Right from the beginning of the show, viewers speculated that The Teen might actually be Billy. However, their suspicions were confirmed when Wiccan appeared wearing a crown resembling Wanda’s and clearly exhibiting his magical abilities in full force.

It’s been confirmed that Billy Maximoff, a character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, made his debut in the series ‘WandaVision’. Interestingly, this role was played by three separate actors: Ari Friedman as a baby, Baylen Bielit at age 5, and Julian Hilliard when he was around 10 years old.

It’s no wonder that Julian Hilliard had to be replaced for the new portrayal of Billy in Agatha All Along, since the storyline called for a more mature version of the character. Enter Joe Locke, who steps into the role as the fourth actor to play this part.

Lately, Hilliard spoke up about the recast on his private X platform, showing unwavering backing for any part that Locke is taking in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Joe Locke is awesome y’all… I fully support whatever role he plays in the MCU 🤓

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hilliard being only 13 years old makes it questionable if he can play the character Wiccan, given that Locke is now 21. The exact cause behind Wiccan’s advanced age compared to his last appearance isn’t explicitly stated, but it might be linked to the unique aging abilities of Wiccan and his brother, Tommy, as depicted in the comics.

Nonetheless, there’s a possibility that Hilliard could reappear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) through flashback scenes, and many viewers have praised his acting as Billy in the series.
