As a seasoned gamer with a knack for predicting plot twists and unmasking hidden characters, I must say that the latest episode of Agatha All Along has left me utterly captivated! The revelation about Rio Vidal being Lady Death instead of Blackheart is quite intriguing, especially considering her mysterious demeanor throughout the series.
In their latest installment, titled “Agatha All Along,” the coven encountered the Trial of Spirits – a domain where Agatha excels. Unfortunately, due to inadequate preparation, this predicament was orchestrated by Salem’s Seven who manipulated a summoning ritual left unfinished in episode 4.
The trial’s theme taps into a familiar trope: teens using an Ouija board during sleepovers. This is precisely what Teen discovers in the house within the first few minutes of the episode.
The guidelines for operating a Ouija board are simple: everyone should always keep their hands on the board, refrain from mocking or provoking the spirits, and properly conclude the session by saying farewell. Agatha initiated the proceedings, and the first spirit said to have communicated with the coven was allegedly Mrs. Hart, who passed away in episode 3.
In an attempt to deceive the coven, I tried mimicking Mrs. Hart’s unique speech and gestures, hoping they’d believe I was under her spell. But my ruse was soon unmasked, leaving us no choice but to genuinely restart the ritual.
In their subsequent communication session, the spirit the coven encountered was “DEATH.” As the planchette moved across the board spelling out this name, Agatha noticeably stiffened, whereas Rio Vidal found amusement in the reference to “Death.
As a devoted fan, I find this new evidence compelling in supporting the idea that Rio Vidal might indeed be none other than Lady Death, rather than Blackheart as some had assumed. One of the most telling signs was subtly dropped in episode 4. In a critical moment when Teen suffered a life-threatening injury from a shard of glass, Agatha covertly implored Rio not to claim his life, her voice filled with desperation and anguish as she cried out, “Don’t.
It’s apparent that Agatha understands Rio is indeed Lady Death, but it remains unclear if the rest of the coven has any suspicions. Although they sense Rio is involved in some secret activity, they probably don’t fully comprehend her real persona.
It turns out that Vidal’s identity was revealed earlier through a Marvel product leak several weeks ago. Instead of Death, the entity in question turned out to be Evanora Harkness, Agatha’s mother. This week’s trial seemed aimed at abandoning Agatha and causing her pain along with her mother, with the coven planning to carry on without her.
As a result, a devastating sequence of circumstances unfolded, culminating in the sad demise of Alice Wu. To protect Agatha from her mother’s control, Alice resorted to using her own elemental fire powers against her.
Ultimately, Agatha managed to drain Alice’s vitality and strength, leaving her a limp body on the ground. This heartrending twist was the catalyst that freed Teen from his shell; his powers surged, and by the end of the episode, we witness him employing his blue magic to overpower Agatha and the entire coven. Using this power, he summoned a whirlpool that consumed them as he shoved them away.
The last scene of the show revealed that the character we know as Teen is indeed Billy Kaplan, who’s also recognized as Wiccan. Interestingly, only Lilia Calderu and Jennifer were affected by Teen’s power. In the finale, Rio Vidal was conspicuously missing, probably tending to the late Alice instead.
