As a long-time Marvel fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of many heroes and villains, I must say that the latest rumors about Scarlet Witch’s return and her potential romantic entanglement with Doctor Doom have left me utterly spellbound!

Among the cherished ex-Avengers, the enchanting Scarlet Witch has held fans spellbound with her remarkable character evolution, which took a heartrending twist. Transforming from adversary to ally and then back to foe, her Marvel Cinematic Universe journey appeared to culminate in a selfless, sacrificial act.

Yet, many aren’t convinced that her tale has reached its end – for, it takes much more than just a crumbling temple to bring down one of the strongest magic users within the Marvel Universe.

Over the last two years, there’s been much discussion among fans regarding the possibility of Scarlet Witch making a comeback in the MCU. Many are hopeful she might make an appearance in Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, given that her reborn son, Wiccan, plays a significant role in the story. This is because the series was previously named Agatha: House of Harkness.

An additional option could be the forthcoming “Vision Quest” series, where we’ll see the return of White Vision and Ultron. This series has been verified as being connected to a trilogy that includes “WandaVision” and “Agatha”.

It appears that Wanda is expected to have a significant role in both the Avengers movies, sharing a considerable amount of scenes with Robert Downey Jr.’s character, who might be portrayed as her romantic interest.

However, their interactions in the comics were never romantic in the traditional sense.

At some stage, it’s unveiled that Wanda and Doom have formed an alliance. Yet, Doom expresses affection for her not out of sincere emotions but as a means to further his own objectives.

Their brief alliance leads to Doom attempting to harness Wanda’s powers for his own gain, which causes disastrous consequences, as his thirst for power creates even more chaos.

With the appearance of Wiccan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), there’s been some excitement about the possibility that the storyline The Children’s Crusade might be brought to life on screen at some point.

Additionally, since Doctor Doom requires a substantial energy surge to initiate the “Secret Wars” and construct Battleworld, it’s plausible that Wanda could take on a role as an energy source, much like the Beyonder from the comics. In this scenario, she might function as a substitute for the Beyonder’s colossal power, which Doom notoriously utilized to alter reality.

As a gamer, I can definitely see the potential of this theory fitting into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Yet, for it to truly gel, we might require a specific project that dives deeper into the history shared by Doom and Wanda, going beyond just “The Children’s Crusade”.
