Crypto-Powered Brave Browser Surpasses 30 Million Daily Users, Continues Steady Growth

As a seasoned researcher who has witnessed the rise and fall of countless tech companies, I must say that Brave’s consistent growth and commitment to privacy is truly commendable. Having followed Brendan Eich’s career since the early days of JavaScript, it’s fascinating to see him driving another revolutionary project with such success.

The widely used Brave web browser, which operates on a cryptocurrency platform, has now exceeded 30 million daily active users (DAU). This increase comes as the browser consistently experiences growth on a monthly basis, with a primary focus on both expansion and user retention.

According to Brendan Eich, co-founder and CEO of Brave, the platform has surpassed 30 million daily active users following approximately a 1% increase in September. When applying a traditional measurement technique, its monthly active users exceed 83 million, while using a visible funnel method puts that number at over 71.6 million.

Last month, Brave’s private search engine, Brave Search, experienced remarkable expansion, peaking at over a billion searches per minute (BPM), and is projected to reach around 12 billion annualized searches per minute (ASM) following an increase of 8.4% in growth.

Based on Eich’s data, approximately 8% of the total Quantum Performance Metric (QPM) comes from users outside the Brave browser. Since its launch, the open-source browser has been consistently growing, as indicated by the monthly statistics that Eich regularly publishes, reflecting the project’s commitment to transparency.

Brave, a free web browser featuring integrated ad-blocking, utilizes the Brave Attention Token (BAT) cryptocurrency to fuel its creator marketplace. Users of this browser can earn BAT by viewing ads that respect privacy, which they can then use to support their preferred content creators.

Over the course of time, the browser has broadened its capabilities to encompass Artificial Intelligence (AI) functions such as an assistant named Leo, along with a Virtual Private Network (VPN) being part of a premium subscription package.
