GloRilla taps some of the biggest female rappers in the game for ‘Glorious’ album

As a fan who has been captivated by the raw talent and infectious energy of GloRilla since “F.N.F.” dropped, I am beyond excited for her debut album, “Glorious,” which drops this Friday, October 11th. With an impressive roster of collaborations including Sexxy Red, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Muni Long, BossMan Dlow, T-Pain, Fridayy, and Kirk Franklin, it’s clear that GloRilla is not only a force to be reckoned with in the rap game but also a uniter of talent.

Since releasing her smash hit “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” in 2022, GloRilla has consistently dropped catchy tracks. Despite the considerable attention and hype she’s generated thus far, she hasn’t released a debut album yet. That’s about to change on October 11, as she will be dropping her first studio album, titled “Glorious“.

25-year-old artist revealed the album tracklist on Instagram on Monday, showcasing a star-studded lineup of popular female rappers. For instance, Sexyy Red collaborates with her on the track “Whatchu Kno About Me,” Megan Thee Stallion lends her skills to “How I Look,” and Latto is part of “Procedure.

Among the distinguished guests, you’ll find Muni Long, BossMan Dlow, T-Pain, Fridayy, and Kirk Franklin – a personal favorite of GloRilla during her childhood as she was growing up, having been inspired by his gospel music. Last year, they had the pleasure of meeting at the Grammys, with Franklin immediately taking a liking to her.

He shared with The New York Times that he became smitten by her character. She radiates charm and seems as if she’s visiting Disney World for the very first time. What drew him in was the innocence, the passion, behind her eagerness to collaborate with him,” (paraphrased version)

During a different segment of the interview, GloRilla mentioned that she needed to switch paths when creating her album, as she was moving away from the style that initially propelled her to success.

Previously, as I embarked on creating my album last year, I was initially striving for grandeur. However, I needed to pause and reflect, she shared with The New York Times. My intention was to collaborate with international artists, produce larger-than-life songs, and incorporate the Memphis style of beats – a sound that fans typically associate with me.

In the end, the gifted poet created the album she had envisioned, calling it more than remarkable. On Twitter in September, GloRilla exclaimed, “Give my album a listen from start to finish and wow, I truly assembled a timeless classic.
