MONARCH Season 2 Adds PREY Star Amber Midthunder

As a fan who’s been around the block a few times, I can’t help but get excited about the latest addition to the Monsterverse team – Amber Midthunder! With her impressive resume, including roles in Prey, Legion, and Avatar: The Last Airbender, she certainly brings a powerhouse of talent to the table.

As a fan, I can’t wait to team up against colossal, otherworldly titans and a suspicious tech giant! The first season of Apple TV+’s Monsterverse series, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, assembled an impressive group with Kurt Russell (and Wyatt Russell), Emmy winner Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, and Ren Watabe. What a team to have on your side! But with the presence of Godzilla, Kong, and Apex Technologies, it’s clear that we’ll need even more allies. Exciting news from Variety reveals that the second season will welcome Prey star, Amber Midthunder, into our ranks. Can’t wait to see what this powerhouse cast brings to the fight!

In a new role, Midthunder will portray Isabel – a character known for her sharp intellect and strong business acumen. According to Variety, this part is expected to be substantial and recurring frequently, which might imply that she’ll align with the antagonists, but it’s not entirely clear-cut.

Beyond starring as the main character Naru in “Prey,” a reimagining of the Predator set in the 1800s, Amber Midthunder also appeared in FX’s series “Legion” and Netflix’s adaptation of “Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Back in April 2024, just a few short months following the thrilling conclusion of the initial season, I was ecstatic to learn that Apple had given the green light for another round! To make things even more exciting, Apple and Legendary have entered into a multi-series agreement, which means we’ll be getting multiple spinoffs from this beloved franchise. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next!

This season is masterfully executive-produced by some incredible minds, including Chris Black, Matt Fraction, Joby Harold, and Tory Tunnell from Safehouse Pictures.
