Emily Rudd, who plays Nami in the second season of One Piece, is sharing fun glimpses behind the scenes with her fans. She recently posted new photos on Instagram showing what it’s like on set with the rest of the Straw Hat pirate crew when they’re not filming.
One picture shows Rudd inside a trailer on set, wearing a large black t-shirt with a striking red and purple design. She’s also wearing a bright orange wig styled to look like Nami’s hair – it’s a slightly messy, shoulder-length bob with gentle waves and uneven bangs.
She playfully sticks her tongue out and makes hand gestures, seeming to enjoy herself despite the hectic filming schedule. A door visible behind her is labeled ‘3. NAMI’, indicating her location on set.

Season two, called ‘Into the Grand Line,’ launched on Netflix on March 10th. It continues the story of Luffy and his crew as they navigate the treacherous Grand Line and battle the mysterious Baroque Works.
The original actors are back for the next installment, with Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Zoro, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji. Joining them are new cast members David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Lera Abova as Nico Robin, a casting choice that particularly thrilled fans. Filming took place in South Africa in late 2024, and the production team built large, realistic sets to bring the famous locations from the manga to life.
Beyond her work on One Piece, Rudd recently celebrated her thirty-third birthday and has been gaining attention in the fashion world. She especially wowed fans at the Los Angeles premiere with a stunning bronze gown, which many online called her best look ever.
I’m already so excited for season three! I heard Netflix started filming it towards the end of 2025. What really makes the show special, for me, is Rudd – she perfectly captures Nami’s intelligence and spirit of adventure, and she brings this fun, engaging energy that really shines through, especially with how she connects with fans online. She’s become a real standout!
Her recent glimpses into her work continue to show why she’s uniquely suited to be the world’s most renowned explorer.
