Lori Loughlin recently stepped back onto the red carpet at an event celebrating “When Calls the Heart” and “Hope Valley: 1874” in West Hollywood. The 61-year-old actress looked beautiful in a white strapless dress, silver shoes, and a coordinating clutch. She finished her glamorous ensemble with a sun-kissed tan, silver earrings, and a sleek ponytail.

The actress, famous for her role as Abigail Stanton on the Hallmark series that ran from 2014 to 2019, left the show after its sixth season. This followed her involvement in a college admissions scandal, for which she served jail time after attempting to secure her daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California. Now, she’s returning to the series for its fourteenth season.

Michelle Vicary, who leads programming at Hallmark Media, explained to People that Abigail Stanton has been a popular character with fans of ‘When Calls the Heart’ since the show began in 2014. She said the Hallmark brand focuses on themes of hope, positivity, and connection, which are also key to the show. Vicary felt season 14 was the perfect time to bring Abigail’s story back to the series.

The source said the scandal marked a turning point, and they were never able to rebuild their connection. While Loughlin didn’t completely blame her ex-husband, she believed he initiated their involvement and, despite not fully blaming him, she couldn’t fully forgive or move past it.
