THAT ’90s SHOW Canceled at Netflix, Will Not Get Season 3

As a gamer who’s been through the rollercoaster of TV show cancellations and revivals, I’ve learned to never get too attached or complacent. The latest victim of this cruel fate is That ’90s Show, which, despite its charming nostalgia and dedicated fanbase, has met an untimely end on Netflix. It’s like watching your favorite childhood toy being tossed aside – heartbreaking yet somehow expected in the era of streaming services.

As a passionate fan, I’ve been left quite disappointed to admit that it seems our casual hangouts down memory lane are coming to an end. In an unexpected twist, Netflix has decided to pull the plug on “That ’90s Show.” Despite its relatively smaller audience compared to its predecessor, “That ’70s Show,” a significant number of us found joy in the ’90s-inspired sequel. However, it appears that we’ve reached the end of our time with Eric, Donna, and the gang… at least on Netflix. Frankly, this leaves me wondering about the safety of any show nowadays, even those steeped in nostalgia like “That ’90s Show.” If a series as popular as this one is getting canceled after just two seasons, what hope does any show have for a third? This cancellation of “That ’90s Show” doesn’t exactly fill me with optimism about the future of long-running television.

The TV show “That ’70s Show” spanned across eight seasons and produced a total of 200 episodes. Unfortunately, its spin-off series, “That ’90s Show”, was axed by Netflix after only two seasons with 26 episodes in total. However, there’s still some optimism left among fans. Despite the fact that season three of “That ’90s Show” won’t be airing on Netflix, the show’s star, Kurtwood Smith (who portrays Red Forman), hinted at a potential future for the series on Instagram.

Smith shares:

It seems that you’ve been eagerly waiting for season 3, but I regret to inform you that it won’t be happening on Netflix. However, I want to express my gratitude to all the fans who have shown their love and support for the show, whether it was in person or through social media, while I traveled around the world. It has been an absolute joy to bring Grandpa Red to life for you all.

Apologies to see ‘That ’90s Show’ succumb to another two-season cancellation. Here’s hoping for a third season so we can catch up with Wisconsin once more!
