‘It Is About Time:’ Wendy Williams Weighs In On Controversy Surrounding Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs And Sex Crime Allegations Against Him

As a longtime follower of the entertainment industry and a former talk show host myself, I can’t help but feel a sense of validation seeing Wendy Williams speak out about the allegations against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Having navigated my own share of controversies in the past, I have learned to trust my instincts when it comes to recognizing questionable behavior.

In a recent statement, Wendy Williams, famed for her lively demeanor during her popular talk show, expressed her thoughts on the ongoing Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs controversy that involves numerous severe accusations leveled against him.

During an interview with The Daily Mail on October 1st, Williams mentioned the rapper, stating that she had been conscious of his actions for quite some time.

She went on to say, “It’s quite peculiar because numerous individuals have commented, ‘Wendy, you were right all along,'” and she mentioned that even members of her family have made similar remarks.

Previously on Wendy Williams’ show, the ex-host expressed her feelings regarding the video footage of Cassie Ventura from 2016, where Diddy was involved in a severe altercation in a hotel lobby. Her comment was, “As for how I feel about that? It’s high time.

She expressed that watching the TV broadcast of the Me & U singer being attacked left her in shock. Williams conveyed that we should not have to wonder how often such incidents occur or who else might have suffered as a result.

It appears that there have been past issues between Diddy and Williams, as suggested by Charlamagne Tha God during an episode of his Flagrant podcast in May 2024. At Hot 97, where Williams used to work, she was unexpectedly let go in 1998. It’s rumored that Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records, may have played a role in this termination.

As reported by People magazine, Gene Deal – formerly the vocalist’s bodyguard – shared his thoughts on a talk show host losing their radio position during an interview on The Art of Dialogue in 2022.

He disclosed that Diddly reportedly informed Hot 97 that if they failed to dismiss her before he arrived in New York, neither he nor his friends or record label associates who are “on his side” would provide them with music. Furthermore, there was a threat of everyone boycotting their radio station as a result.

Gene shared with the media that they had spent three days in Los Angeles, and upon landing in New York, they had been let go from their radio show.

Regarding Williams’ health, which has been widely discussed online, she shared with The Daily Mail that she is currently in good health. It’s important to note that Williams has been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. According to People, she resides in a care facility and is under court-ordered guardianship, which seems to restrict her contact with family members.
