Skill Rundown

S1

Heavy Despair

As a seasoned Brown Dust player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that the choice of characters for this Fiend Hunt event is quite intriguing. Each hero brings their unique strengths to the table, and it’s all about finding the perfect synergy.

This effect is a huge wall to overcome. Your team will require units with a lot of hits in order to get rid of the barrier. Examples are units like Celia, Gray, and Dalvi.

Alternatively, you can use Hikage with her 12 chain skill to remove the barrier on the weak point.

S2

Crushing Yoma Power

Have any chainer and wind DPS tank this hit, so they can receive buffs from S3 and C2.

C1

Shed Skin

After your Support 2 (S2) places Damage Over Time (DoT) effects on your allies, this ability will immediately activate. It’s best to have one of your tanking units (Melee/Attack Buffers) absorb the impact of this hit instead of your chainers or damage dealers. This is because they need to maintain the DoT for their S3 and C2 abilities.

S3

Surging Yoma Power

Enhancement significantly boosts chain abilities for players like Celia, enabling her to chain as many as 28 times during the nuke round. Any character or unit that has a Damage Over Time (DoT) effect should benefit from this strike.

C2

Devour Pain

Let your wind damage-per-second (DPS) characters with damaging over time (DoT) effects attack first to gain an edge in damage. Then, unleash a powerful assault on the monster!

S4

River’s of Blood

When it’s time for a change, one team steps aside while another comes on. Meanwhile, the Fiend returns to starting point 1 (S1) and re-sets its conditional abilities.

Hunting the Fiend

S1 → S2 → C1 → S3 → C2 → S4.

In simple terms, you need a chain stacker for the obstacle in area S1. This task can be accomplished by either Celia or Hikage, but keep in mind that only Hikage works on the vulnerable spot. Vanguard Gray and Summer Dalvi can offer chains to help deplete it more quickly while also dealing damage.

Following that, let your characters dodge Chainer 1 (C1), move to receive damage over time (DoT) from Skill 2 (S2), then proceed to take Skill 3 (S3) and Chainer 2 (C2) for the buffs. The subsequent turns after Skill 3 (S3) and Chainer 2 (C2) are both “nuclear attack” turns.

DPS Review

Yomi (AoE ×12) is a fantastic free-to-play choice since we’re boosting her to +5 without any cost. She dishes out decent damage, but due to her 3-turn cooldown, she can’t deal damage on both powerful turns, which makes her slightly less effective compared to other options in the game, especially when it comes to Fiend Hunt.

With five areas of effect (AoE), Hikage may not initially seem impressive, but her ability to deal a significant amount of damage in twelve hits is noteworthy. The bonus from the +2 chain buff provided by this Fiend significantly amplifies her output. Moreover, at a +4 level, she has no downtime for damage, ensuring that she will surpass Yomi in terms of damage output at that point.

Nebris now boasts a powerful area-of-effect (AoE) of 7/10, meaning she’s become quite formidable in the arena. Her latest costume equips her with a full skill rotation and a substantial Critical Damage self boost. If you have both outfits equally upgraded, it’s advisable to save Laid-back Lifeguard for your second major attack turn. Therefore, initiate Nebris’s sequence with Lifeguard following S1 (ensure to use Lifeguard +3 before any buff so she benefits from the ATK boost).

Damage from Gray (11 Vanguard/7 DoT AoE) might not seem substantial for most players as the Fiend doesn’t reach 1,000 ATK until level 12. However, he could be a good choice if you don’t have any other options available.

When utilizing Yozakura, her skill tends to deal more damage than her enhanced area-of-effect (AoE) basic attack. However, if the target’s weak point has vulnerability during a ‘nuke’ turn with Cat Eris, the basic attack might outperform the skill. Therefore, it is advisable to use the enhanced basic attack during the first nuke turn and then deploy Yozakura’s skill in the second nuke turn.

A suitable pick given her continuous availability and moderate Damage over Time (DoT). She is also capable of creating links to assist in breaking the Fiend’s shielding effect.

Venaka (AoE 9 times) – Venaka appears to be alright, however, she lacks a second ability, similar to Yomi, which means she might face some challenges as she’s capable of dealing damage only during specific powerful attack turns.
