Pixar announced the release of Incredibles 3 with a post on social media, confirming it will hit theaters on June 16, 2028.
Pixar finally sets the date
Disney and Pixar fans have a big reason to be excited: Incredibles 3 is officially scheduled to hit theaters in the summer of 2028.
The planned release date is nearly 10 years after Incredibles 2, which was a huge success for Pixar when it came out in 2018.
Pixar hasn’t shared any details about the plot, characters, or story yet. Right now, the exciting news is just that the Parr family will return in a new movie.

Announcement comes with new Disney leadership in charge
It’s also interesting when this news came out. The announcement of The Incredibles 3 happened on the very same day Disney’s new leaders officially started their jobs.
On March 18th, Josh D’Amaro took over as CEO of The Walt Disney Company, succeeding Bob Iger. Dana Walden has also joined the company as President and Chief Creative Officer, and she will report directly to D’Amaro.
This is a new position at Disney, and Walden will be responsible for guiding the creative vision and storytelling across all of the company’s entertainment divisions. She’ll be leading teams from Disney’s film, TV, streaming, and gaming departments, all now organized under one larger Disney Entertainment group.
More details still to come
While many details remain a mystery – like the story, villain, and who will be involved – Pixar has officially confirmed that Incredibles 3 is happening and will be released in theaters in the summer of 2028. Fans are still waiting for more information, but the movie is definitely on its way!
