Millie Bobby Brown combined her passion for fashion with her love of animals at her first dog rescue gala on March 14th. The actress, who is a strong advocate for animal welfare, hosted the event to benefit her nonprofit, Joey’s Friends. The organization rescues dogs from shelters with limited resources and gives them a new life.
I was completely captivated by Millie’s outfit! She wore this stunning, long floral dress – it had that lovely prairie vibe, you know, with long, billowy sleeves and a sweet square neckline. The top part was fitted and had this pretty, gathered texture, and then the skirt just cascaded down in layers – it was so graceful and flowed beautifully with every move she made.
She completed her look with brown ballet flats and styled her hair in gentle waves, securing it with pretty floral clips. Her makeup was kept natural and fresh, with a light pink lip, allowing her playful outfit to really stand out.
The gala felt just like Millie’s cozy, countryside style. Event planner Jove Meyer decorated the space to resemble a charming southern home, using blue and orange flowers, paintings of puppies, and even photos of dogs as table decorations, along with bone-shaped dog treats.
Millie recently shared some heartwarming moments on Instagram, including photos of her with a dog, addressing an audience, and posing with her husband, Jake Bongiovi. She described the event as a wonderful night focused on community and helping rescue dogs find loving homes. Millie emphasized the importance of giving these dogs a second chance, explaining that this cause is something she and Jake are truly passionate about.

Millie is a huge animal lover, both through her nonprofit work and personally. She currently cares for an incredible 62 animals, including 25 farm animals, 23 foster dogs, 10 of her own dogs, and 4 cats. She told BBC Radio 1 last year that she has a large and diverse animal family. Her organization, Joey’s Friends, which she started in 2022, doesn’t just provide food and shelter to rescued animals—it also focuses on their emotional health and happiness.
Millie is transitioning in her career after finishing her popular role as Eleven on Stranger Things. She recently shared with fans that while the show was a significant part of her life, she’s excited to explore new opportunities. The gala was a perfect occasion to celebrate her passion for animals and her future projects.
It’s wonderful to see someone like Millie using her platform to help animals in such a genuine and charming way. Her sweet, nature-inspired style was a perfect fit for the event, proving that you can be both fashionable and compassionate.
