As a die-hard royal fan who has followed Prince Harry’s journey since his early days, I must say that this New York City trip of his has been nothing short of exhilarating! From attending high-profile events to taking part in spooky segments on late-night talk shows, the Duke of Sussex is truly living life to the fullest.
During his New York City visit, Prince Harry unexpectedly stopped by Rockefeller Center to meet Jimmy Fallon. On September 26th, you can catch The Duke of Sussex as a special guest on “Tonightmares” segment of The Tonight Show. Instead of a traditional interview, the 40-year-old prince had an incredible time with Fallon in a scary maze experience for the Halloween-themed section of the show, which the host introduced on August 15th.
According to the program, the segment features “10 terrifying rooms that manifest Jimmy’s most dreadful nightmares,” complete with spooky surprises and characters. In a sneak peek, an unforeseen pair stumbles upon a video where Fallon is cradling a puppy, but this scene takes a dark turn, leaving Harry startled.
Harry’s laughter at the frightening zombies is effectively depicted via his bodycam footage. In addition, they encounter both a wolverine and a fearsome group, but when they realize that one of them is actually Prince Harry, he quickly breaks character due to their recognition.
It turns out that Harry’s appearance on the late-night talk show wasn’t a first-time event. In fact, he had already made an appearance earlier in January 2023 on Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show. This visit was to promote his memoir, Spare. During the interview, he responded to Colbert’s typical 15 questions and shared insights about life, the afterlife, and his mother, Princess Diana. He expressed a stronger connection to his late mother in the past two years compared to the previous three decades, saying, “I have felt her more in the last two years than I have in the last 30.
During his visit to New York City, the Duke of Sussex appeared to have a busy itinerary, participating in several events that aligned with his personal interests. He began his trip by attending a dinner hosted by the World Health Organization, where he was joined by Queen Mathilde of Belgium. At this event, they discussed topics such as violence against children and mental health.
After attending the yearly Concordia Summit’s Diana Award ceremony, this was followed by his participation in an event for HALO Trust, an organization once supported by his mother, where he also took part in a discussion about African Parks.
On September 24th, he delivered a speech at the Clinton Global Initiative regarding the potential dangers of social media for children. Later, he discussed his long-standing affection for Lesotho at the United Nations, a country he’s been assisting since 2004. During this visit to NYC, he also celebrated the fifth anniversary of his sustainable tourism initiative, Travalyst.
Viewers can catch the unique episode of The Tonight Show, featuring Prince Harry, on NBC at 11:30 p.m., Eastern Time.
