‘The Sandlot’ Star Caught in Explosive Late-Night Brawl Outside L.A. Club

Footage obtained by TMZ shows Marty York, best known for his role in The Sandlot, involved in a physical altercation outside a Los Angeles nightclub.

Okay, so here’s the deal: over the weekend, things apparently went south for actor Nicholas York outside the Warwick nightclub on Sunset Boulevard. I’ve seen the footage, and it looks like he got into a scuffle with a much bigger guy right on the sidewalk. Unfortunately, it didn’t stay contained there – the fight then moved into the parking garage next door. It’s a messy situation, to say the least.

The video shows York both punching and being punched in the face. During the fight, which happens near parked cars, he removes his shirt. Both men seem unstable on their feet, and at one point, the other man falls to the ground.

York told TMZ he wasn’t the one who started the altercation. He explained that someone unexpectedly rushed at him, and he acted in self-defense. No police were involved, and no one was arrested.

Patrick York is most famous for his role as Alan “Yeah-Yeah” McClennan in the movie The Sandlot. He started acting with success, but a severe car accident at age 17 significantly impacted his career. The accident caused serious injuries and led him to take a break from acting.

Since then, he’s worked as a fitness trainer and dedicated himself to turning his life around. He’s also experienced significant personal hardship, including the loss of his sister to a drug overdose and, later, the tragic death of his mother, Deanna Esmaeel. Her partner was convicted of her murder.

York described his mother’s dedication to becoming a police officer, recounting how she spent years training. This included learning self-defense, enduring painful training exercises like pepper spray, mastering weapons, and consistently overcoming challenges – even outperforming much younger recruits in physical tests. She faced setbacks, but always persevered and kept getting back on her feet.

After facing some difficulties, York is getting back into acting and is said to be part of a new show on ABC.
