Cal Kestis Reportedly Set for Live-Action Debut, Here’s Our Best Guess On How & When

As a seasoned gamer and Star Wars enthusiast who has spent countless hours navigating the galaxy far, far away with Cal Kestis, I can confidently say that his live-action debut is long overdue! His journey from a humble scrap collector on Bracca to a beacon of hope for the fledgling Jedi Order has captivated me, and I can only imagine how electrifying it would be to see him in action alongside our favorite live-action characters.

In recent times, one of the beloved Star Wars characters didn’t initially appear in live-action or animated series; instead, he was introduced in the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game, and his name is Cal Kestis.

I, Cal Kestis, have made appearances in two epic Star Wars adventures: “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” and its sequel, “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor”. Once a Jedi Padawan, I narrowly survived the devastating Great Jedi Purge. In the early days of the Galactic Empire, I lived in solitude on the planet Bracca. However, an unavoidable event compelled me to unveil my Force abilities, which caught the eye of the Inquisitors – the Empire’s relentless hunters of Jedi like myself.

As I embarked on my mission to restore the Jedi Order, I found myself forging unexpected bonds that felt like a second family, standing by me in my struggle against the Empire. It seems Cal has won over both critics and fans alike, with many praising his character growth and connections, although some initially felt he was a bit dull in his initial appearance in the game.

Lately, there’s a growing excitement among fans about the possibility of Cal appearing in the live-action series, and according to Daniel Richtman, a reputable source within the industry, it seems that we might see him make his live-action premiere shortly.

In terms of selecting the right actor for this character, fans generally believe that none other than Cameron Monaghan would be a suitable choice, given the game’s high-definition graphics designed to resemble the actor closely. Consequently, he seems perfectly suited to the part.

The only remaining question is which project he might debut in. While it seems unlikely that he will have his own standalone show, given the timeline of the games and Cal’s status, he could potentially appear in Ahsoka season 2.

It’s possible that Cal and Ahsoka, who have not interacted before, might encounter each other in the live-action series, but there’s a complication because the game “Jedi: Fallen Order” is set five years after “Revenge of the Sith,” which makes Cal around 40 years old at that time. On the other hand, “The Mandalorian” happens 23 years later, and “Ahsoka” occurs afterward. This means that Cal would be even older than Ahsoka if they were to meet in the series.

27-year-old Cameron Monaghan has the possibility of convincingly playing a 40-year-old character named Cal, using makeup. If this happens, there’s a chance that Cal could make an appearance in the upcoming “The Mandalorian & Grogu” series, even though it remains uncertain how his narrative would intertwine with the current cast’s storylines.
