Halle Berry Gives Update on Potential JOHN WICK Spinoff with Sofia

As a seasoned gamer and avid follower of the John Wick franchise, I can confidently say that the universe has become my second home, filled with intrigue, action, and a dash of the extraordinary. Halle Berry‘s introduction as Sofia in Chapter 3 was a breath of fresh air, adding depth to the narrative and offering a tantalizing glimpse into the untapped potential of this expansive world.

The universe of John Wick keeps growing, introducing new titles like Under the High Table, a continuation of the franchise’s fourth installment, as well as upcoming movies such as John Wick Presents: Ballerina. This latter movie, set between the events of the third and fourth films, focuses on a new assassin seeking revenge. There seems to be ample room for spinoffs within this world, and many fans are eagerly anticipating more of Halle Berry’s character, Sofia. Introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, it appeared that Sofia’s story would intertwine closely with John’s as her daughter was in danger. However, this wasn’t the narrative we saw unfold in the fourth film. Nevertheless, Halle Berry has mentioned discussions about a spinoff featuring Sofia, and she hopes to see it come to fruition sooner rather than later.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Halle Berry expressed her hopes for a future collaboration between Sofia and John Wick on screen. She lamented that the storyline between their characters wasn’t developed in the last film but remains open to the possibility in the future. “I really wished that had occurred, but it didn’t turn out that way,” Berry commented about Chapter 3. “I thought that would have been an exciting plotline. We did discuss it, definitely. We even planted seeds for it in John Wick: Chapter 3, and we’ve talked about a spinoff with Lionsgate, which could possibly materialize. It should happen sooner rather than later, but it might actually occur. And I adore the John Wick universe. I love John Wick and my character, so who knows what the future holds.

It’s likely that we’ll see Sofia and her formidable canine companions back in the John Wick universe someday, as there’s still plenty of ground to cover in this action-packed assassin realm.
