As a dedicated follower of America’s Got Talent, I can honestly say that this season has been nothing short of extraordinary! The finale was a rollercoaster of emotions, and the moment Richard Goodall, the singing janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana, was declared the winner, my heart swelled with joy.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the latest development in one of America’s beloved reality shows! Ever wondered who took home the grand prize this season? Well, let me tell you, after weeks filled with intense competition, Richard Goodall, the remarkable singing janitor from Terre Haute, Indiana, has been announced as the winner of season 19! This announcement was made on September 24, following his impressive performance that earned him one of Judge Heidi Klum’s Golden Buzzers.
After securing the coveted championship and a $1 million reward, the exceptionally gifted performer expressed astonishment to PEOPLE, stating, “I can hardly believe it all. Nothing quite captures this surreal feeling.
He expressed his gratitude, saying, “This journey has been nothing short of a wild rollercoaster ride, and now it’s over, it’s like everything is sparkling with pure gold.
Goodall, who dedicated 23 years to the school, expressed that he had always harbored a deep love for singing. He ultimately triumphed over nine other contestants: Brent Street, Sky Elements, Learnmore Jonasi, Sebastian & Sonia, Dee Dee Simon, Solange Kardinaly, Hakuna Matata Acrobats, and Rhythm and Roni.
Moving on, from the initial nine acts, Goodall, Jonasi (the comedian), Kardinaly (the quick change artist), Sky Elements (drone show specialists), and Rhythm and Roni were the top five. Later, Terry announced the final positions: Jonasi finished fifth, Kardinaly came fourth, and Sky Elements clinched third place.
As the final two acts approached, the crowd hung on every moment, eagerly waiting to see who would be crowned the ultimate victor. In the end, it was Terry who announced Goodall as the grand prize winner.
Goodall, who held dual roles as a musician and a janitor at Chauncey Rose Middle School, expressed his desire to return to janitorial work for a period of time, even after winning America’s Got Talent.
Currently, Goodall is cherishing each and every moment of his America’s Got Talent experience. He expressed this by saying, “This entire week has been a wonderful dream come true.” He added this sentiment to PEOPLE, stating, “I don’t want this dream to end.
