I was absolutely blown away by Emma Stone at the Oscars! She looked incredible in this stunning silver beaded gown by Louis Vuitton. It was a long, gorgeous dress with a really cool low back, and she paired it with a chic bob. Honestly, she just radiated glamour and confidence – a total showstopper!
E! News reports that Emma Stone’s dress required 600 hours of work to make. She was accompanied by her husband, Dave McCary, who wore a traditional black tuxedo. The couple tied the knot in 2020 and had a daughter, Louise Jean, in 2021.
Emma Stone has earned a Best Actress nomination for her performance in Bugonia, making her the youngest actress with seven Oscar nominations at just 37 years old. She’s also a Best Picture nominee as a producer on the film. Bugonia continues Stone’s working relationship with director Yorgos Lanthimos, following their previous collaborations Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024). Stone previously won the Best Actress Oscar for Poor Things and her first Academy Award in 2018 for La La Land.

In the movie Bugonia, Emma Stone plays Michelle Fuller, the head of a pharmaceutical company who is kidnapped by a group believing she’s an alien intent on destroying the planet. They shave her head, hoping to prevent her from communicating with her supposed alien home base. Stone described the experience to USA Today in 2025 as a significant personal change.
She shared that she had simply told someone, “I’m planning to shave my head – I’ll be getting rid of my hair, but it will grow back! It’s a bit silly and fun, isn’t it? We have the freedom to change our hair however we like, whenever we want!”

Before filming this particular scene, the director really wanted to be prepared, so they had a bunch of cameras rolling just in case. Honestly, I was a little nervous beforehand – I was just sitting there, letting the tension build, and I had a mini-panic moment. Luckily, Yorgos – the director – came over and we chatted, and I instantly felt better. I knew it was going to be good, and it ended up being amazing! I also wanted to make sure my daughter wasn’t shocked by my look – I didn’t want seeing me with a shaved head to be too scary for her.

Stone said the experience felt almost like meditation, as she concentrated on remaining perfectly still to ensure the scene was just right. Her appearance at the Oscars showcased her grace and self-assurance, solidifying her status as one of Hollywood’s most beloved actresses.
