As a gamer with an unyielding love for music and a keen eye for the industry’s behind-the-scenes drama, I find myself saddened yet not entirely surprised by this latest turn of events involving Diddy. The allegations against him have been piling up like waves in a storm, and it seems that each one only serves to strengthen the tempest.
In a regrettable turn of events, I find myself once more entangled in legal matters. This time, it’s a case brought forth by Thalia Graves who alleges an appalling incident from 2001 at a New York City recording studio. She claims that I and my security guard, Joseph Sherman, subjected her to a horrific act of sexual assault. Additionally, she asserts that the act was recorded by us.
25 years old is how old she claims to have been when the reported rape incident took place, as stated by TMZ. At that time, she was dating one of Diddy’s employees. Later on, Diddy invited her for a meeting with himself and Sherman. She alleges that at some point during this gathering, they offered her a drink which she suspects contained a drug. Graves stated that after consuming the drink, she lost consciousness and woke up to find herself being assaulted by the men while restrained.
Apart from her previous struggles, Graves disclosed that she experienced suicidal tendencies again in 2023 upon discovering the incident had been filmed. As stated in her lawsuit, both Diddy and Sherman reportedly shared this recording with others.
As a gamer putting it in my own words, I’d say: I chose not to report that incident back then because I was scared of Diddy and Sherman. They might have taken revenge against me. However, today, September 24, I am taking a stand and suing those men as well as Diddy’s Bad Boy record label for the harm they caused me. I’ll be holding a press conference with renowned attorney Gloria Allred to share my side of the story.
Diddy is currently grappling with multiple civil lawsuits from various women who allege sexual assault, as well as a federal case. This federal case stems from his recent arrest on charges including sex racketeering conspiracy, forced, fraudulent, or coerced sex trafficking, and arranging prostitution.
Currently, Diddy is detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following two unsuccessful bond requests. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, described the jail conditions as deplorable and attempted to move him to a jail in Essex County, New Jersey. However, these efforts have ceased, so Diddy will stay at MDC until his trial concludes.
As I sat down to game after the September 18, 2024 court hearing, I read on AllHipHop that Agnifilo mentioned a status update was needed from the counsel about any location-related requests concerning Mr. Combs’ detention. However, at this moment, no such action request has been made by the counsel to the court.
