As a lifelong LEGO enthusiast and ardent fan of Pharrell Williams, I am absolutely thrilled about the launch of the Piece by Piece LEGO Minifigure Generator! Having grown up playing with these colorful bricks, I can’t help but feel nostalgic as I witness the merging of two worlds that I hold dear: my childhood passion and one of the most innovative musicians of our time.
To mark the upcoming animated biography of Pharrell Williams, titled “Piece by Piece“, Focus Features unveiled a LEGO Minifigure Creator named “Piece By Piece“. This film, directed by Academy Award-winning director Morgan Neville, will narrate the life story of the famous producer using LEGO building blocks. The Minifigure Creator can be accessed on both mobile and desktop devices.
With the Minifigure Creator, enthusiasts can design their unique Minifigure character using seven different skin tones, more than sixty distinctive hairstyles, and over ninety clothing options. This includes special garments from Pharrell Williams’ fashion label, Billionaire Boys Club. The available facial expressions are inspired by scenes from various films. Once you’ve crafted your Minifigure, you can download an image of your masterpiece, either featuring Pharrell’s Minifigure or a standalone version.
After LEGO released their collaborative set, “Over the Moon,” designed alongside Pharrell, the Minifigure Generator followed suit. “Over the Moon” boasted a space shuttle with a colorful jet stream reminiscent of Pharrell’s fascination with space. This unique set showcased an unprecedented variety of Minifigure skin tones – seven in total, making it the most diverse LEGO product to date.
In a fitting tribute to the upcoming biographical film about his life, Pharrell Williams unveiled a fresh composition entitled “Piece By Piece.” Known as a multi-talented artist, producer, songwriter, and Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, Pharrell has also earned two Academy Award nominations. One was for his catchy tune “Happy” from the movie Despicable Me 2, and another for producing the film Hidden Figures. The movie, a collaborative project between his company i am OTHER and LEGO, delves into Pharrell’s personal history. The song “Piece by Piece” will be hitting theaters on October 11th.
