They say a bargain is something you don’t need when you don’t have the money. So it goes. Here are three stocks. Don’t get your hopes up.
1. Amazon
Amazon. They sell everything. Mostly things people didn’t know they needed until they saw it on a screen. It used to be a premium stock, meaning it cost a lot. Now? Not so much. Compared to Walmart and Costco, it’s… cheaper. Which probably means something. They’re still making money, of course. They just aren’t pretending to be magical anymore. A forward P/E of under 28. That’s… reasonable. For a company that wants to own everything. They’re throwing money at robots and artificial intelligence. Because that always works out well for everyone. Five shares for a little over a thousand bucks. It’s a start.

2. Crocs
Crocs. Those… shoes. A P/E of about 6. A free-cash-flow yield of 16%. Basically, they’re practically giving them away. They bought a company called HeyDude. Turns out HeyDude had problems. Inventory issues. Channel issues. The usual. They’re trying to fix it. It’s always a mess, isn’t it? The core Crocs business is… stable. North America is down, but international sales are up. They’re opening stores in China, India, and Western Europe. More places to sell… Crocs. They’re also making new designs. Sandals. Innovation. It’s a turnaround candidate. If it works, good for them. If not? Well, so it goes. Twelve shares for a thousand. A small price to pay for potential foot comfort… or regret.
3. Jakks Pacific
Jakks Pacific makes toys. They’ve had a good start to the year. Up 20 percent. Still cheap, though. A forward P/E of under 6.5. They managed to maintain a strong balance sheet, even with tariffs and stressed consumers. They have $54 million in cash and no debt. That’s… responsible. They even managed a gross margin of 32.4 percent. They’re not discounting. They’re focused on profitability. Which is unusual. They’re hoping for a good year for children’s movies. Toy Story 5. Moana. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Minions 3. Paw Patrol 3. And Halloween is on a Saturday. More opportunities to sell… things. Fifty shares for a thousand bucks. A small investment in the fleeting joy of childhood. Or the inevitable plastic landfill. So it goes.
