As an ardent fan, I simply can’t help but admire Selena Gomez for her unwavering courage and resilience! The way she turns her vulnerabilities into powerful statements is truly inspiring. Her life story, marked by struggles and triumphs, resonates deeply with me.
At a recent Women in Film event, Selena Gomez, the renowned actress from The Only Murders in the Building, shared her perspective that vulnerability carries great power, and this insightful statement is gaining widespread admiration online.
The performer, who has recently opened up about private aspects of her life, expressed in a popular video on X/Twitter that she firmly believes in the strength found in being open about needing assistance and asking for it. She emphasized that this is not something to be ashamed of.
She openly discussed her inability to bear children and her battle with bipolar disorder, sitting beside her 11-year-old sister Gracie. “Get lost!” she exclaimed, “That’s the essence of my life. That defines me. I have no time for those who label you a victim. In my eyes, you are a survivor.” Gomez concluded.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, the former Disney star, Selena Gomez, disclosed for the first time that due to her medical history, she is unable to carry a pregnancy as it could pose risks to both her life and the baby’s. Gomez was diagnosed with lupus in 2010, leading to a kidney transplant in 2017. Additionally, she discussed her battle with bipolar disorder and the necessity of taking powerful medications that are harmful to an unborn child’s development.
Selena acknowledged that accepting she wouldn’t be able to give birth naturally was something she needed time to mourn. However, she remains hopeful about parenthood through other methods such as adoption or surrogacy. Speaking with Vanity Fair, the artist behind Who Says referred to both possibilities as a source of blessing and significant opportunities for her future family.
Since the year 2023, Gomez has been in a relationship with the music producer, Benny Blanco. They made their romance known to the world by posting affectionate photos together on Instagram as recently as December last year.
In 2024, Blanco shared on The Howard Stern Show that becoming a father has been a long-standing aspiration for him, an ambition that follows closely after his marriage to Gomez.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, the singer referred to her boyfriend with curly hair as a deep well of light in her existence. She emphasized that he serves as her dearest companion and expressed her joy in confiding in him about everything.
In terms of his professional life, Gomez is presently appearing in the fourth season of OMITB. Notably, this Hulu series has already been approved for a fifth season as well. Meanwhile, Emilia Perez is another venture of Sel’s that is currently keeping her engaged.
