Omada Health [OMDA +3.64%]. The name sounded like a yoga retreat. Turns out, it’s a digital healthcare play. They launched in June, 2025, and the market’s been giving them the cold shoulder. Happens. Most new stocks hit the ground running. This one just…didn’t. Eight hundred million market cap. Not exactly a behemoth. But sometimes, the interesting stories aren’t about the giants.
Between the Office Visits
Doctors patch you up. That’s the theory. But what happens when you walk out the door? That’s where the real battle is fought. Bad habits, prescription costs that could choke a horse, a lack of exercise…it’s a long list. Omada tries to fill the gaps. Their app, apparently, is getting some traction. Forty thousand monthly downloads. That’s a number. They offer coaches, therapists, even video calls. It’s a digital band-aid for a system that’s already coming unglued.
I usually avoid these wellness programs. People start them with enthusiasm, then fall off the wagon faster than you can say “New Year’s Resolution.” But Omada’s got data. Real numbers. And that’s a language I understand.
- Ninety percent customer retention. That’s…unusual.
- Fifty percent member engagement after two years. Most programs are lucky to get five percent.
- GLP-1 users lost 28% more weight with Omada. The pills help, sure. But someone’s gotta keep them motivated.
- Double the weight loss for GLP-1 users compared to just the drugs alone. The app adds value.
They even managed to keep weight off after people stopped the GLP-1 injections. One percent weight regain with Omada. Eleven percent without. That’s a difference you can measure. Sales grew by 53% in 2025. Profit margins went from negative sixteen to six percent in the fourth quarter. Yet the market’s valuing them at just three times sales. It’s a puzzle. A potentially lucrative one.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting you bet the farm on one stock. That’s for suckers. But Omada…Omada has a pulse. A faint one, maybe. But in this market, a pulse is enough to get my attention. It might just help you get rich. Or it might not. The market has a way of disappointing even the best of us. But sometimes, the long shots are the only ones worth taking.
