Charlie Cox, 43, Shows Off Killer Physique as Daredevil Returns for Season 2

Marvel fans are finally getting a preview of Charlie Cox returning as Daredevil in the new season, Born Again. The series is set to launch on Disney+ on March 24, 2026, and the first teaser shows off Cox’s impressive physical condition as he once again plays the blind crime fighter, Matt Murdock.

The latest season begins with Murdock assembling a team to fight Wilson Fisk, the mayor of New York, and his task force dedicated to stopping vigilantes. This series continues the story of the original Daredevil show from Marvel Television and Netflix (2015-2018), and is now part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Season 2 was filmed in New York between February and July 2025. Dario Scardapane is the showrunner, and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are the main directors. Solvan Naim, Angela Barnes, and Iain B. MacDonald also directed episodes.

Daredevil’s second season brings back familiar faces like Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, along with Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, Zabryna Guevara, Nikki M. James, Genneya Walton, Arty Froushan, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini, Ayelet Zurer, and Tony Dalton. Joining the cast this season is Krysten Ritter.

Since it was first announced, the series has gone through significant changes. Originally, Born Again was intended to be a single season with 18 episodes. However, after production began, Marvel Studios decided to divide those episodes into two seasons and brought in directors Scardapane, Benson, and Moorhead to rework the show.

The new season will have eight episodes and is part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel has also announced a third season is planned, meaning the story won’t end with this current installment.

As a huge Daredevil fan, I’ve been so excited for Charlie Cox to come back! The little sneak peek they released isn’t just about showing off Daredevil’s awesome fighting skills – it really highlights how much work and dedication Cox puts into physically becoming Matt Murdock.
