As a longtime Marvel fan who has followed the intricate web of their stories since the early days, I must say that this new theory about the Fantastic Four setting in the same universe as the Kang variants is nothing short of brilliant! The idea of Galactus devouring all the Kangs in one swift move not only establishes him as a formidable threat but also neatly ties up any lingering Kang storylines.
Remind me if you recall Jonathan Majors, the talented actor who was set to embody Kang within the MCU and potentially be the “next Thanos” for the series? Regrettably, it has come to light that he physically assaulted his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Consequently, he received a sentence of 52 weeks in a domestic violence intervention program in person, and his career seems to have suffered significantly as a result.
Apart from being let go as Kang in the MCU and the studio searching for a new actor to fill the role, his character was essentially erased from the narrative and replaced by Victor Von Doom, portrayed by Robert Downey Jr., who is rejoining the MCU. Interestingly, while audiences might not be lamenting Majors’ departure, the loss of Kang poses a significant issue.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe had been constructing its narratives towards a major showdown between the Avengers and Kang, but this confrontation has either been delayed or abandoned, leaving the MCU in a predicament – how to handle Kang, given that he’s appeared in multiple projects. An engaging theory suggests an exceptionally intriguing resolution!
A concept we’re presenting was initially suggested by Reddit user mattforbes. He described this idea as follows:
The Fantastic Four might inhabit a shared universe with all the Kang variants, who assemble on Planet Kang or any other planet in Quantumania.
At the outset of Fantastic Four, there’s a scene reminiscent of Quantumania’s grand opening, where we witness an expansive shot drawing us into space. Here, we observe Galactus consuming a planet, effectively wiping out all the Kangs in one swift move. By doing so, Galactus is immediately positioned as a significant adversary, eliminating the need for a separate storyline involving the Kang character.
It appears quite intriguing, and it’s not just us who feel that way. Here are some responses from enthusiasts about this theory:
It seems more probable to me that they’ll reveal Galactus’s threat level by featuring him on Zenn-la and narrating the Silver Surfer’s origin story. However, it’s technically possible they might opt for a flashback from Silver Surfer instead. Displaying Galactus annihilating all the Kangs could be both amazing and amusing, but I anticipate they’ll likely reserve that for the start of Doomsday.

Sure, I’d love to help!

It would be incredibly cool, but most fans seem to believe (though this might not matter since the creators may choose not to acknowledge it) that Doom will eliminate everyone and establish himself as a serious menace.

Shouldn’t assume that the Kangs were on a planet or even in the normal timestream.
Keep in mind that the TVA was constructed in a higher dimensional perspective, allowing them to visualize the timelines as interwoven strands or threads.

I’m convinced that the role of Kang will be recast, which seems to have been Marvel’s intention from the start. As far as I’m concerned, Kang has always been an ally of Doom, even though he hasn’t appeared on screen yet. I find it hard to believe that they would use magic to make Kang disappear instead.
