Billie Eilish and Finneas Endorse Kamala Harris for President Over Trump: ‘Can’t Let Extremists Control Our Lives’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity endorsements and political activism, I find it truly inspiring to see influential figures like Billie Eilish, Finneas, Taylor Swift, and even Hillary Clinton using their platforms to advocate for change during these critical times. Their decisions to endorse Kamala Harris and Tim Walz speak volumes about the issues they prioritize – reproductive freedom, environmental protection, and democracy – values that resonate deeply with millions of Americans.

Billie Eilish and Finneas, a famous brother-sister team, have recently shown support for Kamala Harris as president instead of Donald Trump. On Tuesday, July 17, they published a video on Instagram to celebrate National Voter Registration Day. In this video, they urged their followers to register and vote for Harris and her vice presidential pick, Tim Walz, early in the Democratic primary.

Eilish expressed in a video that she’s supporting Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are champions for preserving our reproductive rights, the environment, and democracy. She cited these reasons as key factors in her choice to back this political duo. Meanwhile, her brother Finneas emphasized that it’s crucial we don’t let radicals dictate our lives, liberties, and future. To counteract them and thwart the harmful Project 2025 plan, he urged everyone to cast their vote for Kamala Harris.

“Vote like your life depends on it, because it does,” the What Was I Made For singer concluded.

It’s important to note that the Trump campaign has faced backlash from celebrities since the former President announced Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate. Vance’s 2021 comment, in which he referred to Harris and women who choose not to have children as “childless cat ladies,” has resurfaced and gone viral. This has intensified criticism of the Republicans amid the heated political climate leading up to the 2024 presidential elections.

Prior to Eilish and Finneas, Taylor Swift garnered attention by supporting Harris for presidency and closing her social media message as “childless cat lady,” which was a clear reference to Trump and Vance.

Following the September 10 presidential debate, I eagerly expressed my admiration for the Vice President, praising her as a composed and talented leader, capable of guiding our nation with tranquility rather than turmoil. (Taylor Swift)

2024 will be the second occasion where Swift publicly expresses her political views. Back in 2020, she lent support to the Biden-Harris campaign.

Hillary Clinton expressed gratitude for Taylor Swift’s endorsement during the elections, remarking that she believes it carries significant weight due to Swift’s ability to manage her own life in recent years. Clinton made these comments in recognition of Swift’s tenacity in regaining ownership of her music after it was reportedly unjustly sold to a third party. Notably, Clinton has expressed admiration for the pop star on numerous occasions.

The 2024 U.S. elections are scheduled for Tuesday, November 5.
