According to reports from the Gallup Police Department, Tito Jackson, an original member of The Jackson 5, apparently experienced a sudden health crisis at a shopping center in New Mexico, leading to his death on September 15. He was 70 years old.
On a Sunday evening, around 6:15 PM, I responded to an urgent call regarding a fellow American in distress near American Heritage Plaza. After necessary medical aid arrived, the individual identified as T. Jackson was transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, later reports confirmed his passing.
Investigators are still working to determine the exact reason behind Jackson’s passing, as they continue to collect statements from eyewitnesses concerning the tragic incident that took his life. At this point, no formal announcement detailing the circumstances of his death has been made public.
Prior to his passing, Tito was said to be performing alongside his siblings Jackie and Marlon as part of The Jacksons band. On September 8, they took the stage in Surrey, England. They also had upcoming performances lined up in several U.S. cities, including Atlantic City, N.J., and Cincinnati, where shows were scheduled throughout October and November.
A few short days before his passing, Tito visited the memorial of his deceased brother, Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, in Munich, Germany. Together with his siblings Michael, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon (and later Randy), Tito Jackson became internationally famous as The Jackson 5. This band was honored by being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame too. In his own solo career, Tito has enjoyed success with two albums – “Tito Time” released in 2016, and “Under Your Spell” which came out in the year 2021.
