17-year-old internet sensation and musician Lil Tay announced on Instagram that she’s making progress following an open-heart surgery. Just three days later, some of her followers found out about her health issue when it was revealed she had a potentially fatal heart growth.
On September 14th, a Saturday I’ll never forget, I took to social media to share some incredible news about my surgery – the progress! I am beyond grateful for the successful outcome of this life-changing intervention. This past week, on the 11th and 12th of September, I couldn’t help but notice an increase in activity on my beloved idol’s social media platforms. She reached out for prayers, which tugged at my heartstrings, and later shared updates about Claire Hope, known to many as Tay, fighting a critical illness. Accompanying this news was a poignant image of a pediatric intensive care unit. My thoughts and well-wishes go out to her during these challenging times.
Shortly afterward, she shared that she had been given a grave diagnosis of a heart tumor and was preparing for her operation, along with appeals for prayers.
On several occasions, Tay, once a popular internet phenomenon, has found herself at the heart of discussions amongst online communities. Furthermore, it’s worth noting that she isn’t unfamiliar with the less desirable aspects that come with being well-known.
Previously, there was a tragic rumor circulating about her and her elder half-brother, Jason Tian, allegedly passing away. This false information spread through a post on her Instagram account. However, her representatives clarified to the entertainment news outlet Variety that these reports were untrue.
In Los Angeles, neither the Police Department nor the County Medical Examiner-Coroner found any evidence suggesting the reported demise of the individual in question. Consequently, the disputed Instagram post was swiftly taken down the following day. Approximately one month later, Lil Tay reappeared on social media platforms by releasing a fresh music video.
