Kelsey Grammer Hints at a Promising Future for Beast in the MCU: “There was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up”

As a seasoned gamer and avid Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book knowledge under my belt, I must say that the recent developments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) have left me nothing short of ecstatic! The hints and teasers about the upcoming X-Men reboot are tantalizingly intriguing, and as a long-time Beast fan, Kelsey Grammer’s return to the role has my heart racing faster than Wolverine on a caffeine binge.

Prior to the debut of Deadpool & Wolverine, the Marvel Cinematic Universe had already introduced numerous mutant and X-Men characters, even if they weren’t explicitly labeled as such at the time. Future projects centering around the X-Men will deal with this discrepancy.

In the most recent additions to the MCU, Beast – a well-known mutant character – makes an appearance. At the end of The Marvels, Kelsey Grammer is spotted in the post-credits scene, seemingly working together with Maria Rambeau (Monica’s mother) in the alternate reality that Monica encounters at the film’s conclusion.

A fresh take on the X-Men is in development, penned by screenwriter Michael Lesslie. Preliminary reports suggest that this new version will focus on a group of young X-Men and introduce characters yet to appear in live-action adaptations.

There’s talk that Wolverine could join the upcoming team, and Halle Berry seems open to reprising her role, hinting at it subtly. Kelsey Grammer has openly discussed his potential return as well, confirming it directly in a recent chat with ComicBook.

There’s nothing I can talk about. What I do know is that there was a huge sort of outburst when I showed up at the end of The Marvels, I guess it was. The response was really almost… it wasn’t unexpected. There’d be some response, but it was pretty overwhelming, and so there are some conversations.

Grammer portrayed alternate versions of Beast in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Even if he isn’t the main version of the character in the new reboot, his story, along with those of Monica and Maria, could still be explored in future projects, especially with incursions becoming a significant element in the MCU.
