A trailer is now available for Disclosure Day, the new movie about UFOs directed by Steven Spielberg.
The newest trailer keeps the core idea of the movie a secret, but it does reveal the film will hit theaters on June 12, 2026.
Watch the trailer below and check out the new poster.
Trailer Teases Global Alien Revelation
The latest trailer once more explores how people would react if we suddenly had clear proof that life exists elsewhere in the universe.
The video poses the question: “If we discovered we weren’t the only life in the universe, and someone actually showed you proof, would that scare you?”
The marketing campaign presents the event as a global experience, stating, “This summer, everyone on Earth will learn the truth,” and hinting that a major reveal is coming soon.
The new trailer ends with the line, “This summer everything will become clear,” suggesting the movie is about the reveal of long-secret information regarding alien life.

Steven Spielberg Returns to UFO Sci-Fi
With Disclosure Day, Steven Spielberg revisits his fascination with aliens and science fiction. He’s previously examined how humans interact with life beyond Earth in movies like Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, and War of the Worlds.
The new movie seems to be taking a different route, emphasizing how a discovery affects the world instead of relying on big action sequences.
David Koepp wrote the screenplay, and he’s worked with director Steven Spielberg on several blockbuster films before, including Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. These films have made over $3 billion at the box office worldwide.
Cast Includes Emily Blunt and Colin Firth
I’m so excited about this new movie! It’s got an amazing cast – Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, and Colman Domingo! Universal is really going all-out with it, planning a big release as a major summer event in 2026. I think it’s going to be huge!
Kristie Macosko Krieger and Steven Spielberg produced the film through their company, Amblin Entertainment. Adam Somner and Chris Brigham were the executive producers.
Disclosure Day Release Date
Universal Pictures will release Disclosure Day exclusively in theaters on June 12, 2026.
