See the first reactions to Kendrick Lamar’s new song, Lecrae & Dee-1 respond to being mentioned

As a long-time fan of Kendrick Lamar, I must say that his latest release has once again proven why he is one of the greatest rappers of our time. His ability to tackle complex issues and spark conversations with his music is unparalleled.

Towards the end of August, there had been speculation about Kendrick Lamar launching a new album. While an album isn’t out just yet, he did unveil a fresh track on September 11th, which was yesterday.

Kendrick Lamar recently posted a snippet of a new track on Instagram that’s been dubbed “Watch the Party Die” by fans, although it hasn’t been officially titled by him yet. In this song, he expresses his criticism towards the current state of hip-hop and the world at large. This is his first release since his feud with Drake ended, but there are no apparent diss tracks aimed at Drake or his crew in this particular piece.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been noticing some discussions about Kendrick seemingly referencing a confrontation in one of his songs. The lines go like this: “Just walked that man down, that’ll do everyone a favor / It’s love, but tough love sometimes calls for physical action.” He spits it out with his signature flow.

It’s no wonder that the cut drew an overwhelming reaction from both renowned and ordinary individuals. One Instagram user commented, “I played this back six times consecutively… it’s not even the one.” Hot 97 host Ebro Darden wrote, “This is grown folk music… thank you.” A third person exclaimed, “He operates at a completely different level 🔥🔥🔥.

In another part of the song, the pgLang artist mentioned Texas gospel rapper Lecrae, as well as New Orleans spitter Dee-1.

Occasionally, I ponder what Lecrae might choose… Would he confront these people brutally or instead demonstrate the power of prayer? I aspire to show understanding, like Dee-1 does, but I’m uncertain about how I would act myself… Kendrick left his thoughts unfinished.

In their own ways, Lecrae and Dee-1 acknowledged each other’s remarks. Lecrae expressed his affection on Twitter saying, “I love you Dot…I’m always here.” On the other hand, Dee-1 shared an old photo with Kendrick Lamar on social media, expressing his gratitude for the shoutout by writing, “Thank you so much, brother. @kendricklamar I appreciate you more than you know. A change is brewing. The time has come!
