The Film We’ve Been Waiting For: Henry Cavill’s Superman Takes on Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam in This Fan-Made Trailer

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I can tell you that this fan-made trailer for Black Adam vs Superman has piqued my interest like no other. The tantalizing glimpse into a world where these two titans collide is enough to make any comic book enthusiast’s heart race.

Did you happen to catch the movie “Black Adam” that came out in 2022? If not, it’s okay, as the film didn’t do well financially and garnered negative critic reviews. However, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s performance as the character was highly praised, making it a notable aspect of the movie.

If you happened to see the film, chances are you remember the intriguing post-credits sequence that suggested a thrilling future for both Black Adam, played by Johnson, and Superman, portrayed by Henry Cavill.

Contrary to expectations, the future we had anticipated didn’t come to pass. About a few months after the debut of “Black Adam,” it was made known that the DCEU (DC Extended Universe) would cease operation and be replaced by the new DCU led by Gunn and Safran. Unfortunately, Henry Cavill relinquished his role as Superman to David Corenswet, which means we missed out on witnessing these two legendary DC characters go head-to-head.

As a gaming enthusiast, I must say, things aren’t looking too great right now. But hold on, there’s a flicker of optimism! Screen Culture recently dropped a fan-made trailer for the epic showdown we’ve all been waiting for – Black Adam v Superman. Dubbed Black Adam v Superman: Dawn of Justice II, this trailer creatively reworks clips from Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The twist? Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam steps into the shoes previously filled by Ben Affleck’s Batman. The narrative unfolds post their initial encounter in the Black Adam end credits, presenting us with a thrilling face-off between Superman and Kahndaq’s guardian.

It leaves us pondering about how the dramatic confrontation could have unfolded, taking into account the “unbeatable” condition in Johnson’s contractual agreements.

Despite DCEU projects being terminated, there’s a potential for Black Adam to emerge in the future DC Universe. Moreover, it’s plausible that both Johnson’s and Cavill’s narratives could proceed under the Elseworlds label, where productions like The Batman series fall into this category.
