Logan Stone Capital, bless their hearts, recently moved $18.83 million worth of iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA +1.88%) out the door. Just…gone. It happens. Money, like everything else, is temporary. So it goes.
What Happened, Briefly
They sold 597,699 shares in the last quarter. A tidy sum, really. The ETF’s value, naturally, felt the pinch. It’s all just numbers rearranging themselves, isn’t it? A cosmic game of solitaire.
A Few Details, If You’re Keeping Score
- Top holdings for Logan Stone, after this little shuffle: NASDAQ:IBIT ($44.60 million), NASDAQ:FOX ($32.92 million), NYSEMKT:ETH ($21.89 million), NYSE:PDI ($21.62 million), NASDAQ:NWSA ($20.65 million). They’re spreading it around, trying to find a comfortable place for the money to rest.
- ETHA shares are currently at $15.05, down 24.4% year-over-year. Trailing the S&P 500 by 39.14 percentage points. Numbers, numbers.
- Previously, ETHA made up 8.6% of their assets. Now, less. Everything shrinks, eventually.

The iShares Ethereum Trust ETF is designed to track the price of ether. It holds ether, and that’s pretty much it. A simple arrangement, in a complicated world. They charge a fee, of course. Everyone does.
What This Means (If Anything)
Here’s the thing. Logan Stone didn’t abandon Ethereum entirely. They still hold $21.9 million in the Grayscale Ethereum Staking Mini ETF, about 5% of their assets. They just preferred a different container for some of it. It’s like choosing between a blue mug and a red one. The coffee tastes the same.
ETHA offers straightforward ether exposure with a 0.25% fee. Grayscale’s fund is cheaper at 0.15%, and it also lets you stake your ether, earning rewards. As of Wednesday, about 61.7% of their ether was staked, generating a 2.6% return. A little extra something for nothing. They also still like Bitcoin ETFs. Crypto remains a part of the plan.
For those playing the long game, the lesson is this: structure matters. Two Ethereum ETFs can look identical on the surface, but the details underneath can make a difference. It’s a small difference, perhaps. But in the grand scheme of things, aren’t all differences small? So it goes.
