Ryan Seacrest Reveals Why Hosting Wheel Of Fortune Is His Dream Job; ‘I Still Can’t Believe My Luck’

As a lifestyle expert with over two decades of experience in the entertainment industry, I must say that Ryan Seacrest‘s debut as the host of Wheel of Fortune is nothing short of a masterful move. With his charisma and infectious energy, he has been a staple on our screens for years, and now he brings that same magic to one of America’s most beloved game shows.

Ryan Seacrest recently kicked off his tenure as host on “Wheel of Fortune,” and viewers are thrilled! The event took place on September 9th, with Ryan making his debut in the hosting role alongside Vanna White. This change comes after Pat Sajak’s retirement.

Greetings! You’re on Wheel of Fortune. Tonight, I’m your host, Ryan Seacrest. It’s hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that I’m part of this amazing show with you all tonight, and let’s not forget, my trusty sidekick, Vanna White.

He openly expressed his appreciation for being included on the program, mentioning that, as a devoted admirer, working there had always been his dream job. Additionally, the host shared why this position holds such personal significance for him: “I’ve been a fan of this show since I was young, watching in Atlanta with my family, and I understand the unique charm it possesses. The Wheel has graced your living rooms for 40 years now, and I can’t help but feel incredibly fortunate to be welcomed into its circle.

“I also know I have some very big shoes to fill, so let’s play Wheel of Fortune!” he concluded.

Previously, it was revealed that Ryan Seacrest would take over hosting duties for Wheel of Fortune starting from July 2023. Since then, he has shared with PEOPLE some methods he’s been using to ready himself for the role as host.

After obtaining the position, he immersed himself in studying the rule book and watching episodes involving Pat Sajak. Additionally, Seacrest often practiced in various conference rooms nationwide, wherever his duties required him to travel. The team even took a portable wheel along on tours for additional practice, and he felt well-prepared for the task at hand.

Additionally, Seacrest expressed his excitement about teaming up with Vanna White, the beloved rotating-letter lady on the game show. He confessed that he simply can’t conceive of the show continuing without her by his side.

After four decades, Pat Sajak, the well-known host of Wheel of Fortune, ended his tenure on the show during a June broadcast. In his closing speech, he expressed gratitude to the audience before handing over the role to Seacrest.

Back in the year 2021, Sajak pointed out that the show was nearing its conclusion rather than its start. Sajak first joined the well-known game show back in 1981 for the afternoon edition and later on became involved with the syndicated version when it debuted in 1983.

In June 2023, the media figure posted on their platform (previously known as Twitter), saying, “Now is the moment. I’ve made up my mind that our 41st season, commencing in September, will be my final one.
