Ashley Park Reveals The Note From Only Murders In The Building Co-Star Meryl Streep That Makes Her ‘Want to Cry’

As a lifestyle expert with a penchant for all things entertainment, I must say that Ashley Park’s tale of camaraderie and recognition from none other than Meryl Streep is nothing short of inspiring. Her story serves as a testament to the power of small gestures and their lasting impact on people, especially when they come from someone as revered as Streep.

Ashley Park has shared that she received a lovely message from her co-star Meryl Streep after wrapping up filming for their hit Hulu series ‘Only Murders in the Building.’ Park became part of the show in season 3 as Kimber Min, and Streep appeared as a special guest playing Loretta Durkin.)

Ashley Park recently featured on Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Dinner’s on Me Podcast, discussing her role in season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. In an open chat, she disclosed a touching moment when her co-star, Meryl Streep, left her a heartfelt message during the show’s final days. Park explained that they were circulating a mock Playbill for cast signatures and eventually presented it to Streep

Instead of saying, “The Emily in Paris actress added, ‘You know how at the end of Broadway shows when you leave a show, you have everyone sign your Playbill,’ adding that she thought it would be fun to do something similar and that everyone was signing their name,” you could also write:

Park remembered handing over a false Playbill to the actress from Dark Matter, who scribbled a message on it and passed it back with the words, “I recognize you, Ash.” She replied, “You really get me. You’re nailing it.”

The actress noted that this made her realize how impactful her interactions could be, saying, “Anybody I interact with who might be looking up to me in that way, what a difference that can [make].’  Like still, it’s a year later, and it makes me want to cry.”

Translating the original piece “Look for the Light” by Sara Bareilles, Ben Jenson, and Justin Paul into a simpler, easier-to-understand language: In Season 3, she embodied Kimber Min, an actress performing a duet of the simplified song ‘Look for the Light’ alongside Loretta Durkin (abbreviated as Strip) in Oliver Putnam’s (shortened as Martin Short) musical Death Rattle. This version is more straightforward and understandable for readers

Park then praised Meryl Streep as a “lovely” person and recounted her excitement when series co-creator John Hoffman pitched the idea for Season 3. The actress mentioned that while she told Hoffman that she would “do anything” to be part of the new season, she admitted she initially felt nervous about the possibility of her character being revealed as the season’s killer.

The actress revealed what she discussed with Hoffman, mentioning that she had previously asked him whether her character was the one committing the murders due to her high level of anxiety. She pointed out that Hoffman reassured her she wouldn’t be the murderer and explained that the true identity of the killer is only disclosed at the end of the story

Meanwhile, the latest season 4 of Only Murders in the Building is now streaming on Hulu.
