Enthusiasts of Middle Earth, who have been eagerly anticipating more tales from The Lord of the Rings universe, were thrilled with the debut of the first three episodes of The Rings of Power. As the new season unfolds, it’s intriguing to observe the development of characters, including Sauron, who was surprisingly betrayed, not only by Adar but also by the Orcs. We are curious to find out what led them to act against Sauron. Let’s delve into it
In the early stages of the fresh season, I find myself drawn back to a captivating flashback. Here, we witness the transformation of Sauron, skillfully played by Jack Lowden, who seizes control from Morgoth upon his downfall, ascending to the role of the Dark Lord. Yet, this power grab seems to be his undoing, as both Adar and the Orcs ultimately choose to deceive him
In his speech, he defines his plans and what separates him from the previous Dark Lord, Morgoth, and exactly why the Orcs choose not to go with him.
Through Sauron’s words, it becomes clear that his objectives differ significantly from those of Morgoth. Instead of seeking power rooted in physical form, as Morgoth does, Sauron expresses a desire for dominion “not over body, but beyond it.”
As a devoted admirer, I’m alluding to the magnificent rings of power he intends to forge in our future. Yet, it’s not just about the rings; he aspires to foster unity among the denizens of Middle Earth during his rule
This is unlike Morgoth, whose aim and goals were to have a new creation of his own.
Simultaneously, Morgoth harbored resentment towards men, dwarves, elves, and indeed the entire world of Arda. In his eyes, they were nothing more than puppets created by Eru Illuvatar, the one he had rebelled against, being a Valar himself

Returning to Sauron, I found myself drawn into Morgoth’s uprising, not with a desire to demolish Middle-earth, but rather to mold it into an idealized form of perfection – a masterpiece under my own rule
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but acknowledge that Sauron, being Morgoth’s most formidable subordinate, harbored ambitions of his own and didn’t blindly adhere to his master’s beliefs entirely
