Apple TV has unveiled the official trailer for its new series, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, offering fans their first glimpse of Elle Fanning in a unique role. Based on Rufi Thorpe’s novel, the show will launch with three episodes on Wednesday, April 15th, followed by weekly releases concluding with the finale on May 20th.
The series centers on Margo, portrayed by Dakota Fanning, a young woman recently out of college who’s struggling to get by. She’s dealing with a new baby and mounting bills, and doesn’t have many options for income. Things take an unexpected turn when Margo starts an OnlyFans account under the name “HungryGhost,” where she portrays herself as an alien with an insatiable appetite. This unconventional job ultimately becomes how she manages to make ends meet.
I’m really excited about the cast of Margo’s Got Money Troubles! Michelle Pfeiffer is playing Margo’s mom – apparently, she used to be a Hooters waitress, which is a fun detail. And Nick Offerman is her dad, a retired professional wrestler. It’s a great pairing, and I think they’ll both bring a lot to their roles.

The series stars Nicole Kidman, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Thaddea Graham, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington. David E. Kelley, an Emmy Award-winning producer, leads the show as showrunner and executive producer, with Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning, Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer also serving as executive producers, alongside Rufi Thorpe and others.
The trailer shows Margo dealing with a messy life, mixing funny moments with serious drama and a realistic look at the struggles of everyday life. Viewers are already excited about Dakota Fanning’s acting and the show’s interesting new idea.
