‘Back To The Future’ Stars Michael J. Fox (64) and Christopher Lloyd (87) Share Special Reunion

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd recently had a sweet reunion, showing their friendship is still going strong after all these years. Fox shared a photo of their get-together on Instagram this past Saturday.

The pair were all smiles at a restaurant by the beach. Fox added a fun, nostalgic touch to his post, writing, “Hanging out with my best friend at the beach. Next year, Back to the Future will be 41 years old. Great Scott!”

He also pointed out that his friend Chris was turning 88, calling it a remarkable age. In response, Lloyd jokingly quoted a famous line from their show, saying, “Man, that’s heavy.”

I still remember being completely blown away when Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd first hit the screen in 1985 as Marty McFly and Doc Brown. They didn’t just act out time travel; they lived it, and that DeLorean became iconic. It’s amazing to think the whole thing almost didn’t happen – there were real doubts during production. But thankfully, that first film was a massive hit, instantly turning Fox into a major star and setting the stage for two more fantastic adventures.

Their connection from the weekend continued quickly, as they met again the very next day to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Lucky’s, a well-loved steakhouse in Santa Barbara County. Fox dressed casually for the event, sporting a brown denim jacket and a t-shirt celebrating David Letterman, while Lloyd chose a more polished look with a black sport coat and sunglasses.

Throughout the celebration, Fox chatted with other famous faces, including Carol Burnett and his former co-star Michael Douglas from the movie The American President. This event came shortly after Fox’s appearance at the Actor Awards, where he received a standing ovation from his colleagues.

While on stage, he looked back on his career and shared a story about an early teacher who questioned how long he’d last. He remembered responding with, “Maybe just long enough, sir.”

Michael J. Fox shared a touching story about meeting his wife, Tracy Pollan, on the set of Family Ties, and how they went on to have four children: Schuyler, Aquinnah, Esme, and Sam. He playfully introduced his son, who was in the audience, as his date, noting he wasn’t an actor.

Fox ended his speech by adding a personal touch to the usual introduction, stating, “I’m Michael J. Fox and a dad, and I’m an actor.” Since revealing his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 1998, he’s dedicated his career to raising awareness and funding research.

Through his foundation, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, he’s collected over two billion dollars to speed up the search for a cure, becoming a leading advocate for those living with the disease. His documentary, Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, offered a deeply personal and honest look at his life and career, and received widespread acclaim.

Christopher Lloyd is still very active in Hollywood, taking on roles in everything from small independent films to TV shows. While he’s best known as Doc Brown, he’s admired for his ability to play quirky and memorable characters in all kinds of movies.

Both actors are highly respected figures in the film world, and fans around the globe continue to love them. As they reach important life milestones, their long-lasting friendship reminds us of the special connection they shared while filming the Back to the Future trilogy.

They’ve both handled the difficulties of fame and health with grace, which inspires those who have enjoyed their work over the years. Their collaboration remains a significant and unforgettable part of movie history.
