‘Attempting To Blur The Lines’: Jenna Dewan Requests To Dismiss Channing Tatum’s Legal Team Over Magic Mike’s Funds Matter

As a dedicated follower who has witnessed countless celebrity dramas unfold, it seems that the legal battle between Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan is reaching new heights. Having been a fan of both since their days on “Step Up,” I never imagined their relationship would become this contentious.

It appears that the legal dispute between former couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan is escalating. Recently, a court document filed by Dewan has brought accusations against her ex-spouse, who is also the father of their daughter, Everly.

As reported by People magazine, in legal documents, the actress claims that the actor is trying to create confusion regarding the ownership of Magic Mike’s intellectual property. Her legal team argues that this project was created during their relationship and was funded using their joint funds.

According to reports, Channing Tatum’s legal representatives have stated that he has never concealed funds and contends that the actress did not receive her fair share of their shared assets or income. Earlier this month, Jenna Dewan requested that Tatum’s legal team be removed from the case, which Tatum’s team countered by accusing her of using this as a “delaying tactic.”

According to the report, on August 28th, the actress’s lawyers submitted fresh documents alleging that The Vow’s lead actor is employing various strategies to delay this case from going to trial. They also claimed that he is withholding her fair share of the shared assets and that each day this case continues, it disadvantages both parties.

The documents acquired by the publication on August 28 suggest that Tatum alleges his ex-wife manipulated her filing intentionally to postpone the upcoming trial. Since their divorce proceedings in 2018, Tatum’s legal team has consistently expressed a desire to resolve all issues amicably without resorting to court battles.

Additionally, they mention that it’s said he presented multiple plans for resolution. His legal team drafted several versions of the verdict as potential solutions, and he directly addressed those issues.

The Lost City star’s court documents were a response to Dewan’s August 16 filings requiring his legal team at Glaser Weil and Blank Rome to be dismissed for the upcoming trials because of the conflict of interest for the involvement in selling off parts of his business commodities.

In simpler terms, according to Tatum’s representatives, the actress’s petition was deemed “unnecessary” and lacked both factual evidence and legal justification. It appeared to be an attempt to divert the court’s focus from her deliberate violations of discovery deadlines and the order for her deposition by the court.

Additionally, the lawyers for the actor argue that Dewan should face a fine of $20,000. However, according to Tatum’s filing, this request is allegedly a tactic meant to extend the case by creating delays.

On August 28, Dewan’s submitted documents suggest that Glaser Weil played a role in the “marriage-related transactions” concerning the intellectual property of Magic Mike, a fact that was supposed to be disclosed by Team Tatum.

According to reports, her legal team finds it surprising that her former spouse recently started working with a new divorce attorney, only five months before the court proceedings. They claim that during their marriage, this same company created a complex network of Limited Liability Companies (LLCs), many of which were exclusively owned by the actor and used for handling business deals involving their joint property, as depicted in Magic Mike.

According to reports, Dewan’s lawyers have claimed in past filings that Tatum secretly moved some of the earnings from “Magic Mike” to an unknown party without Dewan’s knowledge. However, this claim has been refuted by her former husband.
