Think dusty towns, whistling winds, and tense showdowns – the classic imagery of spaghetti westerns. These films have been a Hollywood staple for decades. Now, in 2026, Texas Pete Hot Sauce is jumping into the genre! To mark National Hot Sauce Day on March 19th, they’re releasing a short spaghetti western film, and the trailer is already turning heads. It’s certainly a unique way to celebrate!
The popular hot sauce brand, Texas Pete, recently released a short preview of its upcoming movie. The film is a playful parody set in a remote town called Flavorado, where a brave protagonist battles a villain who attacks with spaghetti. Our hero’s secret weapon? The fiery taste of Texas Pete, of course! Appropriately titled Spaghetti Western, the teaser has definitely caught our attention.
Westerns are full of iconic outlaws, from Django to the Man With No Name. But this new short film features a particularly playful one. I looked into it and found very little information – surprisingly! – but I did learn that Ryan Polly is directing and the film will be around 40 minutes long. Here’s the text from Texas Pete’s post announcing the teaser.
Get ready for a new kind of spaghetti – the kind you’ll see in the upcoming movie, “Texas Pete Spaghetti Western”! And what better way to mark National Hot Sauce Day?
This short film is hilariously over-the-top and delightfully odd. It’s inspired me to try something new – spaghetti with Texas Pete’s hot sauce! Maybe spicy spaghetti is the way to go. You’ll be able to watch Texas Pete’s A Spaghetti Western on the brand’s YouTube channel starting March 19th.
