Okay, so this is wild – Doechii, the super talented rapper, is getting a lot of heat online for saying she just… doesn’t like cats. Like, at all! She went on Threads and basically said what a lot of us probably think but are too afraid to admit: cats aren’t always the cuddly companions people make them out to be. She’s getting tons of pushback from cat lovers, obviously, but she’s sticking to her guns. She feels people act like you’ve committed a crime if you don’t adore them, when really, she thinks they’re just not naturally that domestic. She even pointed out that it usually takes a lot of effort and patience to get a cat to be genuinely affectionate – it’s not usually instant! Honestly, it’s a whole debate, and I’m kinda here for her speaking her mind, even if it means going against the internet’s feline obsession.

Doechii playfully pointed out the downsides of owning a cat, joking that owners often end up scratched and roughed up by their pets. When fans shared stories of cat-like behavior in their dogs, she teased that people seem to love cats only when they act like different animals.
Even when people accused her of misrepresenting how cats behave, she stuck to her opinion. Despite the playful back-and-forth, Doechii showed she wasn’t completely against cats by complimenting one fan’s pet’s beautiful eyes.
Eventually, she asked everyone to relax, saying the world wouldn’t fall apart just because she thought cats were a little mean. While she admitted some people have wonderful relationships with their cats, she made it clear her own feelings hadn’t changed.
Doechii is enjoying huge success after winning a Grammy in 2025 for Best Rap Album with her mixtape, Alligator Bites Never Heal. Critics loved the mixtape, calling it a groundbreaking blend of genres and establishing Doechii as a major new artist in hip-hop.
She’s continued this momentum with the Grammy-winning music video for her single “Anxiety,” which has gone viral thanks to its honest and dramatic storytelling. Her fans are now excited for her first official studio album, which she’s hinted at during her recent Live From The Swamp tour.
Beyond her music, Doechii is making a name for herself in fashion and film. She received positive attention for her first acting performance in the 2023 movie Earth Mama and has expressed interest in taking on more challenging roles to demonstrate her range. Known as the “Swamp Princess,” Doechii consistently stands out as a refreshingly honest and captivating personality, whether she’s topping the music charts or engaging in lively discussions online.
