A new report claims The Batman Part II is finally ready to begin production.
Page Six reports that filming for the next Batman movie, starring Robert Pattinson, is scheduled to begin on May 29th in London.
According to reports, the movie has finished casting and is prepared to begin production, suggesting the sequel is finally happening after facing several setbacks.
This follow-up continues the story from the successful 2022 film and isn’t connected to James Gunn’s new DC Universe. It’s considered a standalone story within the DC Elseworlds line.

Matt Reeves Returns With Robert Pattinson
Matt Reeves is back to direct the sequel to The Batman, with Robert Pattinson reprising his role as Bruce Wayne and the hero known as the Dark Knight.
I’m so excited for the next Batman movie! From what I’ve heard, it’s not just going to be another action-packed adventure. Apparently, it’s really going to dive into what happened after the first one, showing how deeply the corruption affected Gotham. And they’re promising to show us even more of the city’s criminal side, which sounds amazing!
The first film concluded with Gotham City in ruins after the Riddler’s flood, creating an opportunity for new leaders to rise and take control.
Information is limited, but there’s talk that the next movie will feature Harvey Dent and his family, potentially bringing back the villain Two-Face. Some fans also believe Mr. Freeze might appear in the film.

Returning Cast
Although Warner Bros. hasn’t announced the complete cast yet, many of the original movie’s stars are likely to reprise their roles.
Robert Pattinson returns as Batman, also known as Bruce Wayne. Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell are also reprising their roles as James Gordon, Alfred Pennyworth, and The Penguin, respectively.
The Penguin, a popular character from the recent movie, now has his own show on HBO. The series explores the growing criminal underworld of Gotham City after the events of the film.
Release Date
The Batman Part II is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2027.
