As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for celebrity gossip and a deep appreciation for the nuances of Hollywood, I find it fascinating to observe the intricate web that connects the lives of our beloved stars. The recent rumors surrounding Jenna Ortega and Johnny Depp are a prime example of this interconnectedness.
Jenna Ortega is generating buzz, as it’s been confirmed by the Beetlejuice: Beetlejuice actress that she never dated Johnny Depp, who starred in Pirates of the Caribbean. Recently, Ortega shared stories about how widespread those dating rumors were, revealing even her co-star Richard E. Grant asked her on set if they had a romantic relationship. Keep reading for more insights!
In a recent conversation with BuzzFeed, actress Jenna Ortega spoke frankly about her collaboration with renowned director Tim Burton on his forthcoming Beetlejuice sequel. During this open discussion, Ortega revealed the most outrageous gossip she had heard regarding herself, confiding in the publication that it was a tale suggesting she was deeply involved in a romantic relationship with Johnny Depp, and asking everyone to give us privacy.
On Wednesdays, the actress called the rumors “unbelievable” and emphasized that she had never spoken about this matter. Ortega firmly stated that she had not made those comments and found it amusing when articles sometimes create their own quotes, saying, “I thought that was quite funny.”
Last year, whispers started flying around when celebrity gossip account Deux Moi posted about Ortega and Depp possibly spending time together. These rumors gained traction as Ortega’s co-star in their upcoming movie Death of a Unicorn, Richard E. Grant, reportedly asked her about it. This was shared by Entertainment Weekly.
In an interview, she mentioned that she was once on a film set with Richard E. Grant. He approached her and asked, “So, you and Johnny?” She chuckled since she wasn’t acquainted with the individual he was referring to, which was Johnny Depp.
Ortega once mentioned her childhood crush, hinting it could have been a character from The Fox and the Hound. Later on, she revised her answer, chuckling as she admitted an unconventional choice: “My earliest crush was Barack Obama, during his first election campaign. I was truly captivated by him.”
Last year, representatives for Johnny Depp dismissed the rumors, explaining that Mr. Depp has no connection whatsoever, either personally or professionally, with Ms. Ortega. They further clarified that he has never encountered her or spoken to her. He is not involved in any venture with her and has no plans to be. The representatives added that he is shocked by these unfounded and malicious rumors which are intended to damage his reputation and career.
As I excitedly share this news, I’m thrilled to be a part of Tim Burton’s upcoming film, “Beetlejuice.” In this spooktacular project, I step into the shoes of Astrid Deetz, daughter to Lydia Deetz, who is skillfully portrayed by my esteemed co-star, Winona Ryder. Notably, she reprises her iconic role from the 1988 original movie, which has left many of us fans eagerly awaiting its return.
