Why Kourtney Kardashian Found Filming Keeping Up With The Kardashians ‘Unfulfilling and Draining’

As a lifestyle expert with years of observation and analysis under my belt, I have to say that Kourtney Kardashian’s decision to take a step back from Keeping Up With The Kardashians resonates deeply with me. Just like Kourtney, many successful individuals find themselves in situations where they feel drained, overwhelmed, and in need of privacy, away from the public eye.

The TV series “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” offers a glimpse into the daily lives of the Kardashian-Jenner family, consisting of Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, and their mother, Kris Jenner. Besides showcasing their professional endeavors, the show also reveals their personal experiences. Exposing their private lives to public scrutiny can sometimes result in negative feedback, which might cause feelings of fatigue.

In an interview with Vogue Arabia, Kourtney Kardashian opened up about her experience filming the show. She revealed that it wasn’t a walk in the park for her as she encountered numerous difficulties and endured struggles during the production of the reality TV series. The glamour and glitz often conceal their personal dramas, tears, and unwarranted arguments which can be quite distressing. In fact, she opted to step away from Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kourtney Kardashian said, “I have been filming the show non-stop for 14 years. I was feeling unfulfilled and it became a toxic environment for me to continue to have it occupy as much of my life as it was.” She further explained, “Privacy` is something I have come to value, and finding that balance of private moments with being on a reality show is hard. People have this misconception that I don’t want to work, which isn’t true. I am following my happiness and putting my energy into that which makes me happy.”

As a committed follower of reality TV, I can share that the star emphasized her focus on achieving a harmonious work-life balance. She shared that when she’s spending time with her children, she makes an effort to be fully engaged with them and avoid checking her phone screens. She also expressed her joy in having one day off during the weekend where she spends a leisurely, pajama-filled day with her kids, free from any scheduled commitments. Regarding her involvement in the show and Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she disclosed that she’s been reducing the time spent on these endeavors, describing it more as setting a schedule rather than establishing boundaries according to her sisters.

In season 18, Kim Kardashian accused Kourtney of lacking professional dedication, which eventually escalated into a physical altercation between them. Kim later expressed, “It seems like there’s a lot of pent-up resentment from Kourtney, or the feeling that she no longer wants to participate in our reality show. And she’s not the type to make a clear decision and announce, ‘I won’t be filming anymore.'” This incident indicated that Kourtney was growing disinterested in their reality TV series.

Yet, when asked for clarification on the topic, Kourtney simply stated that she’s puzzled as to why there’s so much criticism about how people choose to live their lives. She also expressed her frustration that others can’t accept her choices and feels that even her mother, Kris Jenner, is quite critical of her decisions within the family.
