Fans of The Boys don’t have much longer to wait! The final season of the popular Prime Video series begins April 8th with two new episodes, bringing the show’s seven-year story to a close. After a nearly three-year wait since the last season, viewers will finally find out what Homelander, played by Antony Starr, has planned and just how much trouble the world is in.
Season 2 of the show Gen V picks up after the events of Season 4, showing Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) and her fellow young superheroes launching a full-scale attack on Vought, beginning with Dr. Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater). The season also brought back characters from The Boys, like Annie January, also known as Starlight (Erin Moriarty), and A-Train (Jessie T. Usher).
The latest trailer for the final season of the show reveals Homelander is more powerful than ever. We see him ascending a staircase and ultimately sitting at the President’s desk in the Oval Office. Meanwhile, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and his team are considering a dangerous plan to wipe out all supers. Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, also appears, and it seems he’ll be joining forces with Homelander for the final battle.

Beyond finishing its first season, the show Gen V is still building out the world of The Boys, though we don’t yet know much about Season 3. Meanwhile, a new series called Vought Rising is being made, which will show how characters like Soldier Boy and Stormfront (played by Aya Cash) first came to be. Expect lots of wild action and dark comedy as the show looks back at the beginnings of Vought.
Season 5 of The Boys will wrap up the show’s story, which has been a hit with viewers for years. With a final showdown on the horizon, fans are wondering if anyone can defeat Homelander and what will happen to the other super-powered individuals.
